As Kotaku said in their report, we doubt that Square Enix will sell their games for USD5

if Apple can sell tunes @ US$0.99, i'm sure it'll be a walk in the park for Sony. in the long run, it might even help rebuild their reputation from all the problems they encountered this year.

I dont think Sony cares much about their reputation. And essentially for third party games like FF, Sony doesn't call the shots.

i thought 3rd party games need to acquire some sort of licence from sony b4 they can even be developed for the platform, like the PS2. so doesn't that mean that Sony too can call the shots??

but i do agree....Sony can let their reputation go down the crapper and they will still make an obscene amount of money from ppl like us.

I do. And so do a lot of other people actually. Its like having Contra on the Xbox 360. Its called ermm....nostalgic

It provides an alternative of the games we play. FF7 has a great storyline and FF12, well...lets just say I feel that storyline wise, the FF series has gone downhill since the days of FF7.

Pretty graphics is not everything. And this is about playing an FF series on the PSP, last I checked, FF12 is for the PS2.

i actually enjoyed FFVIII,FFX and FFXII. FFIX suX0rs though.

as zio said, it's all about nostalgia. it'll remind us of the old days where polygons, texture fill rate and FPS do not matter. besides, it will let the newer generation of video gamers (post-PS1) to enjoy some old-skool gaming on their spanking new PSPs. (that just shows how old we are)

actually not all people only care about the word NEW or SUPER REAL NICE GRAPHICS in game..people still want to play all those great old games..like ff7 and castlevania SOTN..

because sometimes doesnt mean that the game have a really nice gfx also..but the gameplay just sucks..

compare ff7 and ff12
i think ff7 is way more better..

FF7 is better than FF12 and I think it deserves a new makeover, meaning remake the whole game with a splash of next-gen paint for the PS3 or XBOX 360.

I don't care much playing back FF7. Sooner or later i'm pretty damn sure they gonna rehash this exelent game. Just look FFIII being rehash for DS. Who knows one day they'll rehash FF7 for PSP or maybe PSP2.

anyway, psone games are considered budget games so i will definitely buy them

and please, no PSP2 until 2010

why must 5 years? sony's consoles have lifespan of only 5 years?

PS1 to PS2 took 5 years. PS2 to PS3 took 6 years. So 5 years is a resonable preriod you can speculate with
