I'm getting a PSP from Japan. Can I know what version I should get so that I can change the bios when I'm back here to be able to play *ahem* games ?

the latest is version 3.10oe-a' but many people sticking to 3.03oe-c due to ability for customize XMB.

greetings, i'm curious here, but what happen if my psp has a button or 2 which well, not functioning? can i replace it? can it be fixed? thank you all mighty psp owners out there for providing an answer for this question.

well you could get a version 1.5 or any version below 3.03. below 2.80 is recommended as you could downgrade it smile.gif

I have no knowledge about handheld. Just wonder is PSP can play old games like Super Mario, Super Contra etc....tq.

i changed mine for rm60 bucks i think, bought the part from my friend n installed it myself ahhha ...

sg wang shops charging me rm80 parts + labour,

my analog stick will like sorta stuck in one place then the whole stick can be turned 360 degs...

thanks for the info. With all the bricks and homebrew and downgrade stuff, it gives me chill to actually fork out the money and get PSP. It's so complicated even after plenty of reading. Anyway I can get a PSP with all those stuff done and me just put in the game and play?

yes, just ask the shop downgrade and install custom fw for you.. i think they will charge rm50 for that service.

my advice try seek Bernard Moh. IINM, he provide free dg service when buying from his shop. smile.gif

i am now in times square n saw a shop selling games near the theme park entrance. The PSP ver 1.5 is tagged at rm850. The tag even said can play ahem games. I think now people go for ver 3 coz also can play ahem game.
