The Asian Development Bank on Thursday cut its economic-growth forecast for developing Asia amid slower-than-expected growth in the United States and China. The bank said the growth outlook for Southeast Asia was trimmed to 4.6% because Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore's economies disappointed in the first half. Subregional growth will likely accelerate next year to 5.1%. http://www.bangkokpost.com/business/news/6...e-asia-Thailand I am currently 63% Asia X jpn....

China H-Share Analysts See 20% Gain on Valuations Rarely So LowChinese stocks in Hong Kong are poised to rally 20 percent by December after valuations fell close to the cheapest level in 12 years versus global equities. That’s according to a Bloomberg survey of seven strategists, who have an average forecast of 14,114 for the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index of so-called H shares. The gauge, valued at 1.2 times net assets, is 45 percent cheaper than the MSCI All-Country World Index. The gap is near the widest since 2003, as the attached chart shows, and compares with an average discount of just 13 percent during the past 14 years. QUOTE Another blow to Singapore’s economy as Saudi oil refinery steals Europe sales
Saudi Arabia, the world’s top crude oil exporter, has turned itself into a major refined-fuels power, offering customers millions of barrels of diesel and potentially triggering a price war with Asian competitors as its exports feed into a glut.
“We are already seeing the impact in the Asia Pacific,” said Suresh Sivanandam, principal analyst for refining and chemicals at Wood Mackenzie.
“This year, there is not a single drop of diesel exported from Singapore to the Middle East,” he added, referring to a once popular diesel export route. http://www.therakyatpost.com/business/2015...s-europe-sales/A blow to Singapore is a blow to Johor/Malaysia...
