QUOTE(Avangelice @ Sep 2 2015, 04:49 PM) seems like your portfolio doesnt differ from mine. My portfolio has been evolving a lot. The above funds are not the complete list of funds which I have now. Eventually I hope to cut down my portfolio to become leaner and meaner

Have you thought of Foreign Currency-denominated Funds in your portfolio? Especially, there's concern on weakening ringgit. Not much choices available in FSM except Affin Hwang Select SGD Income Fund.

I agree we should focus on the fundamentals of the markets instead of chasing FX returns blindly. Then, again there are different type of investors with different needs, right? I would like to give some points for discussion: 1. Let's assume 1MDB issue is resolved and the government spend well on the income gain from GST. Will ringgit appreciate back to, USD 1 = RM 3.00? 2. Would you/your family go to overseas for vacation/studies/migrate in the future? 3. As part of asset allocation, what do you think of having foreign currencies out of the country?
