Hey guys,
I need some guide on recording guitar with my PC, I've done this a long time ago and I've forgotten a lot of it.. Hopefully some of you guys can help me out

I'm using a Roland Cube 20GX, a Zoom G1Xon and a Behringer: GUITAR LINK UCG102. For software I have Guitar Rig 5 and Reaper.

How do I get started? Is it possible to record without using Guitar Rig 5? I would prefer to just plug in through my multi effects and amp and record.

Hope to get some help!

i believe the G1x can also record direct as it has amp simulator...not as great but it still works.

If all you depend on is the sound card's line in, please install this driver for reducing the latency.

Yeah it does have a line out. But, if I use Audacity can I hear myself while recording? Last time I recorded with Audacity, I had to record then add the presets..

Just do arm track & monitor track only. If u want to adjust your sound after record can always use equalizer and compression from the fx as well (or even from guitar rig too!)

1st u need to successfully install the hardware to your pc bro. Check back if any cd comes with those zoom or behringer product, or just google around on how to install it. I believe zoom has a built-in amp sim software, it's easier to install it and the behringer, did a few read up kinda tricky but never-the-less both product is a sound card btw...once your pc detected the device u can move forward to record it.

I already have the Behringer software in my PC, I have recorded with Guitar Rig 5 and Reaper before, just that I forgot everything.

But now I want to record with my Roland Cube amp and my Zoom G1Xon, how should I do it?

Do I need to install anything for the Zoom? What are the steps?

Sorry i have no experience with zoom multi-fx, u need to check at their forum/site smile.gif

Anyway assuming your behringer guitar link is properly installed, u could do a basic setup/chain at beginning just to trace your problem.

Try this chain Guitar>Behringer>PC>Guitar Rig5>Reaper

and i'm guessing you didnt assign input/output setting correctly on Guitar Rig/Reaper

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/suppo...m-guitar-rig-5/

or u didnt set properly which sound card to do the playback/recording on your pc.
