With all the moding done, i just wondered if anyone out there has every created their very own mousepad, coz Im sure most you would agree that the professional mousepads out there are quite pricey for and looking at the material its normally made from plastic or some metal alloy. Others like the mats you can find in All IT, are made from rubber foam it cost about 50 to 70 bucks. which is a lot.

Right now im using a cut out from a mounting board pasted to my table, its great but the drawback is that it wears out after countless hours of gaming. Im planning to purchase a thin metal sheet and then wrap it with PVC leather, coz they have something like it in IKEA, which is 125 bucks. Not sure if its good for a gaming though. Anyway let us share some ideas and opinions.

for 125 bux id rather get the razer mantis speed/control or the everglide monstermat/ titan clothpads. its about half the price! plus..i personally prefer clothpads to anything else wink.gif

as for DIY mousepads....theres some guide online that used a non-slip frying pan

Just get the cheap plastic Ikea table mat. It comes in red, blue or black IIRC. The material feels exactly like my Func 1030 pad. I kid u not. Go check it out for ureself. It's only rm10 a piece IIRC. U can even cut it in half to make 2 pieces. U just hafta use sum double sided tape to mount it to ure favorite mousing spot to stop it from moving.

u can always choose frying pan to be ur mouse pad. the price is about the same just that the only difference is it will never wear out

gaming mousepads in the market now are worth the price. Unless u like something custom n special, then its worth the trouble n time to make 1 for urself

The Table mat sounds like a good idea, i will definitely check out the table mat at IKEA, probably mod it so it looks cool:P, Ill get some pictures of the table mat and also the the leather table cover which IKEA has which I personally think looks really elegant coz it covers the a huge amount of the table which helps for the keyboard to give extra comfort.

Finally I had the chance to get myself the cool and cheap mousepad well it looks quite expensive until you turn it around and see the IKEA logo on the back, anyway tried looking for the table mat which was recommended but they didn't have the black or blue only in bright yellow and red which frankly aint my taste.

But after some patients, i found something even better a thin chopping board, with the surface somewhat similar to the razor mousepad, and get this its only RM8.90 for 2. Here are some pictures for you all to see.

It works great, optical mouse or roller whichever you prefer its awesome. As seen in picture with a Razor Diamondback no problem for browsing or gaming. To be honest i was quite surprised with the performance it works even better then those class mousepads.

Well I tell you what for only RM 8.90 just give it a shot. I'll post up new pics when i get the time to mod the design with logo and non slip rubber on the bottom. cheers.
