It would...because its tied in to most of your accounts, emails, framework, backup, contacts, etc

Actually SOT doesnt tells the whole usage thingy on a phone. Some times I wonder why many like to check on it.

The battery drains with usage and not just keeping the screen on, right? Am I understanding this wrong? hmm


anyways, just tested by keeping my screen on (idling waze) for 1h 40min; it used 20% of the battery

actually, it is the best indicator.

altho SOT differ according to what app/game you're using, you can gauge if you're having normal battery drain by taking a look at other people's SOT.

like "hey, i use my phone mostly for facebook/instagram and i got 3 hours SOT" and "holy shit, i used my phone the same way but i only got 2 hours SOT. there must be something wrong with mine!"

tl;dr - SOT is useless on its own but with description of what app you're using most, it is a good benchmark.

yep, when u using any apps, the screen will on hence that will accumulate as SOT..

correct, my argument was generally on; many just looks at SOT alone without its context, and concluding based solely on SOT.

It all depends on what apps you are running. Like my example above...I could keep my screen on with waze idling easily for 6 hours and claim 6hrs SOT

hmm, weird.. i had this issue only after i update the phone.
Anyhow, i had solved it by remove my google account, clear cache & data from google play store & google service framework. Restart my phone, then go in & re-login again my google account.
