tried the demo!

as usual, like how i play fifa, i played the demo with assist off for passing etc. and as before, i love the fact that you can really control the power of passing in PES, like if you just lightly touch the controller, you'd be able to pass to a very short distance.

in term of attacking AI, this is the one that really attracts me. there was almost never a time that i couldn't find a player running towards open spaces that i can pass to. in Fifa, i would have to force them to run with the R1 button, or use 1-2.

graphically, animation has been improved, but i still prefer the overall graphic of fifa. but at least this year it's more fluid.

over the years i think both fifa and pes have improved a lot that i think with manual setting control, they can offer the best gameplay for me.

and to sum up, every time i play the demo i didn't notice that it was already half-time or full-time. that was how much concentrated i am to the game. at least i can have a break from playing random pro-club match in fifa. that's the only mode i can enjoy nowadays without getting bored after 10mins.

Ah the goal after trying so hard to break the defense is just so satisfying, plus if you play with assist off n manual shoot.

agreed! because of the AI for both attacking and defending are very good, scoring now feels epic!

Me too but it's fun to try and practice. Skills is supposed to be valuable advantage that a player could have after practicing a lot, not just easily pull off by everyone.

I love this year PES so much, but i heard a lot of bad comments for Online mode. especially on the lag and the goalkeeper difficulty set to regular level.

And to everyone, this game is superb with manual control!

The referee is just too lenient. 3rd season now in Master League and i got my first red card yesterday. and it was the 2nd yellow card. I haven't seen my opponent getting red card too so far. Even a tackle when the opponent is 1-on-1 with the keeper is also not a red card ~_~

no because i it was me who tackled the opponent, and it was the result of rage because i can't get the ball. lol

anyway, i can't stop playing this game and, from the release day, has since abandoned MGS V until now. haha

I also play with Professional difficulty but i play with Off pass assist and manual shooting so i'm not sure about what you said.

Defending against possession game team is frustrating sometimes. so what i did is just chill out and keep closing the gap, spaces, and marking their players. sometimes i do feel bored playing like this because they'll end up passing the ball back to their defenders again and again. ~_~

you should! it would totally change your gameplay and added a whole lots of fun. i started manual control when i was playing fifa13 because the gameplay was getting boring with generic goals. once i changed to manual control it added a lot more flexibility because i can pass, shoot, cross anywhere i want..BUT i was frustrated for first few games because i realize how bad my aim was and how much i depend on the game assistance. lo!l
The satisfaction of being able to pull off nice team play moves.. fuh!

haha yes indeed! that's how normally i do it. then set the defensive to be more compact, because most of the time they like to attack from center.
But that fails horribly if they had those moment where every pass, every players are at the right time the right place. haha

so i just started become a legend just for casual game..
the gameplay looks so good even when my player is not playing (subs-ed) i can still enjoy watching the game till end. and when you can match with the teammates quick passing or 1-2, it's so satisfying!

i used to play with broadcast camera on fifa, but on pes the camera is too close.. cant zoom out. when i was just outside the box, i can't see the goal.. lol

Playing BAL, only after 1St season I did received transfer offers but from shitty club. Now that I have grown I got none. Got bored of staying with current club because the defenders are so weak it's hard to win any competition.. I'm not football expert but I find having to request transfer to specific club is just stupid. Why can't I just request for being transfer listed. And when I do request transfer to a club, I have to wait forever for the reply. Since I can only do ONE request at a time, I have missed few transfer window already. Ahh getting bored with this mode.

Everytime I play BAL against chelsea, my player would get injured.. It's ridiculous the amount of sliding tackles they attempted.. And so far never seen ai getting red card..

sorry for being noob too. some people play football for gameplay experience and PES provide more authentic experience to them. it's up to you what you want in your game. to me, i dont mind incorrect names etc, as long as i dont get repetitive gameplay for most of the game.
just my opinion..


on a separate topic:
The referee this year is very strict, which is waaaay better than last year. but sometimes i feel like the "advantage system" is broken. e.g: my player just got lightly tackled but my team still hold the possession, but the ref still stop the game -.-".
The keeper is definitely better!

haha forgot to add that. yes! too many rebound goals.
Not sure about thru ball though as i mostly play with pass support OFF and manual shooting. So, pass and thru pass feels the same to me. But, for lob pass (crossing) i notice the power is a bit unpredictable. Sometimes they cross it too laju even if i just lightly touch the button. This happens when i press sprint at the same time. not sure whether this is intended.

Haha i won 3rd game when i decided to change tactic using the advanced instruction.
T_T demo i felt it was easier.

Though i'm worried with the too much rebound from GK. I dont play online that much, but hopefully this isn't something that people can abuse..

any tactics/instruction that is useful to make players run behind defenders line to find spaces, other than manually trigger the run (L1 + right stick direction)? somehow i feel like this year the strikers make less run to find spaces..

the advance tactic could be stupid at times. e.g; when i use false no 9, during counter attack my striker just happily stay behind keep going back because of that tactic. T_T.
it's like the A.I dont know when to follow and when it's not.
thats why i don't activate it all the time.

and i notice playing champions league or uefa cup mode is harder than playing in career mode. O.o

i love it when the AI was yellow carded because they dived in the penalty box!
and another, i was eliminated from the cup because the AI dived and got a penalty!!

Taking a break from Master league to try Become a Legend.. Still the AI manager is stupid in managing the players
