Hi all,

Just recently started WoWing and I have this problem. If I direct connect to the modem I don't drop in WoW but if I use my wireless router + wireless adapter it will dc every 5-10 secs. I have narrowed down to either the

1. Router ( Planex/Level One blw-04em)
2. Wireless Adaptor ( Planex/Level One WNC-0300USB)
3. My USB port?

What hardware are you guys using assuming you are playing wireless?

As I think the problem lies with the router any recommendations on a stable router? Thanks!

Is your wireless router far from your adapter ? For gaming, direct cable is recommended, the reponse is faster by a couple of ms

Kusa,
Yea! Please do let usme know. Its very frust when I keep on getting dced by WoW. Other games e.g. Guild Wars no problemo. I think WoW is very packet sensitive. I might go out these few days to get a new router.

Wow thats crazy high... last time I used to get like 8-10k latency... basically I just sat around and did nothing. You can try reconnectiong a few times as it sometimes helps. If I direct connect to my modem I get around 400-500 response time which is bearable.

What adapter are you using (The pc side I mean). Iif I use wireless = dc within 5 seconds. Haha!
