Baroque classics..that's my choice of the best classics ever. Composers like Vivaldi, Bach, Handel, Telemann are legendary for their works.

Four Seasons : Best recording conducted by Christopher Hogwood. even Sir Neville Mariner loses out.
Pachelbel is only known for Canon in D and there's so many version each with a different tempo. The one I liked best is by London Symphony Orchestra.
Handel : Must have is Water Music and Fireworks. These were composed at the time of King George I's coronation in England. I have the Christopher Hogwood versions. Excellent recording. The AAM (Academy of Ancient Music) uses authentic 17-18th century violins thus displaying a wonderful violin tone..its unmatched!

coz coldnt find it in the local market...good classical recordings are just ridicously expensive here  shakehead.gif

Expensive is one stinking issue and applies to majority of desirable albums whom the local distributors insist on NOT reducing prices in their best interests (not the consumer), and local shops have hardly any interest in stocking up. There was a lot to choose from in the 80's till early 90's..after that, its depressing. Best bet is still buying from internet stores..hardly choice isn't it..or across the Causeway if there's opportunity.
