I can't believe some people at here always comparing Malaysia and Singapore.
It shows you that you are ungrateful person. Don't you feel tired comparing all the time? Insulting your home country all the time?

Anyway Roughly income tax for SGD280k annualy would be around SGD 42k Which translate of 42k * 2.8 =112000 RM 112k annually income tax. In other words, the purpose of this thread is to show how much is actually being taxed in the income. Therefore, we need to use absolute values. Your point is invalid.
