profit already, it went close to 1.1180 before pull back,

i am newbie trying to learn FX trading. i hope u would be kind to share the criteria used to trigger this trade?

Ya, it would be meaningful to add the rational be behind the decision, we can watch out and remind each other if there are any danger nearby.

which broker u use, mine is FXCM Market (US)
E/U is 1.2~1.5
G/U is 1.4~1.7
E/A is 2.8~3.2

Most major EUR pair has similar H4 chart pattern (down trend).
Care to explain why looking for buying, what criteria warrant the trade?
just for study purpose.

Ya lo, i shorted E/U when most EUR pair become weak, lucky to exit with 1.5pip profit when they become strong, today price move like snake.

Oh, that is why i am about to ask how manage to hold position through high impact data release.

I would think daily bar can be use to: -
1, Gauge the Price direction.
2, Find support/resistance.
3, Use Daily H/L.
4, Estimates Daily ranges.
5, Gauge where the price may Turn.
6, and see where the price may reach.



but there are so many pairs to monitor, susah la.

that is very good suggestion indeed, but for me, always no luck,
those pair that i enter always like to turn around while those i did not enter will go on continue the trend.

I try to enter and exit within 1 session, be it Asian, Euro or US session, not dare to hold too long.
don't know is this call Swing or not, or momentum.

Set and forget means need to set TP and SL when enter position,
also many sifu teach ratio TP:SL >1 to be profitable.

but found that FX very tricky, SL must be large enough for it to work, may need up to 50Pips.

for TP:SL ratio >1, TP need to be >50Pips,

found that normal market daily range may not be as large as 100Pips many a times. very confusing.

My thinking is that SL need to be large enough (40~50Pips) TP need to be depend on situation. can this plan work?
