Anyone here tried binary option?
It looks very simple. All you have to do is predict the direction and not the magnitude.
For example, you bet that gold will be above 1170 on Monday at time 1.30. If the gold price is above, you win else you lose.
Anyone tried before, I would like to try out too.

let do a calculation
in order to win money in 100 transaction.. u need win 51 and lose 49 times right...

so every time u win ... u only get back 75% and lose 100%

51X75% = 3825% win
49X100%% = 4900% lose

so lose is more than win rate... so worth or not??
*
Therefore, our win rate has to be about 57% in order to breakeven.

Can be done if you have good statistical edges, neural network, or other edges.

I checked my IG account, they have binary options of 5-Minute.

learning not to use indicator, but you guys know where's the market is heading. Even I read those news also I  rclxub.gif where are they heading

Actually you can also use indicators. Fundamentally you have to understand how the price react, price action.
Most importantly. you have to find an edge. For example, in a casino, the house will always win because they have the edge. Let's say the player has 45% of winning chances and the house has 55%. In the long run, statistically, they know that they will make money. That's why the house will never go bust.

You have to find something similar. Maybe you found an indicator, where you can produce a positive expectancy, in the long run, you will make money.

I am giving you an example:
your risk-reward ratio is 1:1.
your win rate is 60%.
This is a profitable system.
All you have to do is take all trades and apply some money management strategy (ie. risking 2% of your total equity).

Now, if you can find an indicator or price action or something else which gives you a positive expectancy, you will make money.

Just to add,

One of my biggest mistake was I wanted a 100% profitable system a.k.a. a holy grail, no loss.
I realised that I have ditched profitable systems a long the way in my search for the holy grail.
When you are looking for something perfect, you tend to discard something which is not perfect but actually profitable.

Hi!,

I have the ENTRY & EXITS trading criteria and was wondering how-to back-test the trading system on MT4.

Any comments/suggestions wil be much appreciated. Thanks.
*
You have to code them.
If you know programming it would be easy for you to pick up the MQL programming language.

EDIT: If you don't know programming, and if you are willing to tell me how you enter and exit, I can code and run a back test for you.
One more thing, if your entry cannot be coded (subjective) then I might not be able to help.

Can I ask if you guys focus trade on 1 pair of currency or do you guys trade on multiple pairs simultaneously?

For scalping, only one or 2. On the 5-minute time frame.

For swing trading, dozens at once.

i still keep buying on EurUSD and put trailing stop to keep profit even if it swings to the south.

waiting for next news on EUR and USD on 2pm and 5pm  wink.gif

Is there any fundamental reason that you will still long EURUSD even if it goes south?
Are you purely fundamental or a mixture of technical?
