I'd even be concerned about that causing trouble, it sounds like snake oil.
At only 60k I'd merely change the CVT fluid rather than replace the "filter" as well, I'd even be inclined to get some EZL-799(a) fluid myself as the wording of the quote would worry me they might just throw some universal dexron into it.
*
in fact it did:
https://ms-my.facebook.com/TurboOwnersClub/...596299580466985

proton sent out a memo to cease usage of x1r due to it causing turbo failure

Ouch, that makes me happy that I do my own work.
I'd favour using a 10W-30 oil rather than a 10W-40 but workshops like to use as few different fluids as possible.
The one bottle of coolant is cause for concern, I'd assume it's a 1 litre bottle so I'd be worried that the concentration is below the minimum spec now.
Four bottles of brake fluid seems outrageous unless they're thimble sized bottles, normally one bottle would still leave heaps for the mechanic to take home.
I wish I could buy an air filter for that sort of price, even if it looks dear by MY standards.
I again have to query changing the CVT filter, it just smacks of profiteering at 60k km.
I'm surprised you've managed to wear out the brake shoes at 60k km but I've seen some roads there have heavy traffic, that wears brakes out.
*
for *most* service center, all they do is drain from the coolant overflow tank, refill it and that's it lol

Im planning to change the brake fluid and check if the brake shoes are still good.
One bottle of brake fluid should be sufficient right? How much approx would this be?
I might probably do some alignment and change the radiator fluid as well.
*
if you're flushing/bleeding as well, have 1 more bottle just in case. mainstream brake fluid not expensive anyways.

Oh okay. I think the point of changing the brake fluid is to bleed it else no point, right?
Thanks for the suggestions.
Btw, im going to buy my own fluid (brake and coolant) as i think the brands offered at workshops are too limited.
*
yes, better to flush and bleed unless your brakes are always bled/maintained clear and tip top condition then usually just bleeding/top up will do.

bosch (so long ori) or even the mainstream petronas/petrol station ones are adequate.
local AFI supposedly ok gua, supposedly made (or lol just packaged?) in Germany, pricing just slightly higher than bosch/mainstream brands.

my only gripe is it being DOT4/thicker viscosity when i'm typically used to DOT5.1 from bosch or Motul lol.
even my sister also can tell the difference in just swapping brake fluid with the old proton iswara sweat.gif

Whats your fuel consumption? Mine is a saga blm manual and 1 litre will last me approx 11km.
I think thats quite bad and im a light footer and always use a higher gear when possible.
Front tyres are inflated to 33PSI, back 30PSI.

Can i have anyone's opinion?
*
honestly thats a decent FC especially in contrast to whatever car i have.

if anything, my advise/opinion is:
1) high gear may not necessarily be the best.
as sifu davidke20 mentioned, going uphill in high gear would consume more fuel as you need to step on the accelerator more.
high load, even with low rpm, still consumes more fuel.

in general, it is how much accelerator you need to step on that determines fc. (of course, being idle without km's clocked would still yield shit fc despite not stepping on the accelerator pedal at all laugh.gif)

2) consider higher tire pressure
i personally do 35 front 33 rear

drawback would be bumpier ride and traction on road since the middle of the tire bulges a bit more.

Previously i used 30 engine oil and i feel that engine response is better and slightly more agile but i changed back to 40 as im a little worried about wear and tear (not recommended by proton) and as you all already know, the campro is a hot engine.
*
read your owner manual, you can see xw30 being recommended/within ambient temperature specifications.

additionally, if you use a crap oil (NASA lol), and use xw40 or even xw60, you'd still get more wear and tear than even a 0w20 or 0w16 oil.

You? Basically I don't even know how did you managed to get your driving license. Say it, you don't care about FC. LRT kinda conering stability and bullet train kinda acceleration is all that matter to you. 1 thing I admire and think you did it right, which is taking a loan for the fancy performance wheels. Nope, not sarcasm. Letting the bank bear the inflation, and you start to enjoy the benefits in before everything price goes up notworthy.gif The only sad truth is, it's not a VIOS sleep.gif
*
let's just say many years ago, i was just interested in point a to b lol.
when i gotten my license i wasn't even interested in driving, just gotten it out of necessity that i need it to operate a car, and i need a car to go to work.
the JPJ tests/on the road aren't even much of a challenge so long you follow instructions properly.
hell, the undang test was actually harder since i actually did failed it once and had to re-take sweat.gif (my fault for not studying lol)

you know, assuming not sarcasm, there is some truth to it considering everything sky rocketed since GST/ringgit de-value.

in a way, the interest i am paying is more than enough to cover all the fun i've had and then more especially if you consider the hyper inflation/currency issue we are facing now.

i guess sometimes, the quote "fortune favors the bold" (i hear that a ton from the viking unit in starcraft 2 wub.gif ) bears fruit laugh.gif

Let's just forget about CDs. If you're real enthusiast, you'd stick to RAW WAVE 24bit CDs, which an MP3 can't compare with regardless how many KBPS your MP3 formatted. A real CD sounded so much better then MP3 if played with the same hardware under same environment. So, if intended to go MP3, might as well forget about the CD player function.
*
i am an enthusiast and i am perfectly fine with mp3 since i am lazy to load my phone up with FLAC and BT/analog (double or even triple amping though lol) hook up.

and the car audio scene does lack support on FLAC format lol.

but hey, quick googling:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Pre...Flagship+Models
QUOTE
For better sound quality and system flexibility the models are built with MOSFET 50W x 4 speaker outputs and three sets of RCA pre-outs. New for 2015, the DEH-X8700BH and DEH-X8700BS models are the first CD receivers in the lineup to support FLAC “lossless” digital audio compatibility for playback of CD-quality files (44.1kHz / 16-bit). FLAC files can be played back from a USB drive.

woohoo XD

max_cjs0101
if you have the budget, i'd recommend sticking with either big brands alpine/pioneer. cost around/almost twice than JVC, however if you're willing to go with used (eg: automotive garage), that can easily offset the cost as well.

Let's get the point straight. The JVC unit I've bought below RM150 indeed FLAC compatible. Let's just say, you're an MP3 enthusiast. I'm not talking about flagship model or highend audio system. Put it in practical term, how many of our road user would even care to buy original 24k CD and change them every 60 minutes and or keep repeating the same disc? For an ordinary/regular traveler, a USB player will do just the job.

Don't forget, the original question was whether can incorporate the MP3 decoder into the stock player. This said, he's not an audiophile. He just wanted a cheaper solution to what he needed, MANY SONGS SHUFFLING GOING ON FOR LONG HOURS/DAY/MONTHS WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE TROUBLE OF BURNING/CHANGING CDS ON A REGULAR BASIS.

Agreed on the yard sale higher end unit at lower cost. The only trouble is, these are electronics. Like buying used mobile phones, wouldn't know what to expect. For myself, unless the model I'm going purchase has been thoroughly studied, the person who sell it is accountable, I don't mind paying anything not more then RM100(talking about mid/high range player).
*
you get me wrong la... as much as i am perceived being an audiophile and i actually import audio CDs from Japan on a regular basis (every 2-3 months sure got a shipment), i also strongly support mp3/usb with the exact reasons you have mentioned.

as a matter of fact, i am in a similar/same situation as max_cjs0101 since inspira stock HU does not support USB, so yea i do have to burn cd's once a while to update my mp3 list (in this part i guess i am slightly better off than max) but that's a pain.

i never get to replace the HU even till this day (and even when the steering controls went bonkers lol) because:
1) procrastination master race
2) money
3) in part of 2, i am not willing to settle for less.

That said, thanks to this post/discussion though i came to realize pioneer already begin to support FLAC for their 2015 lineup and i think it is time to strike laugh.gif
maybe just a front component and minimal sound proofing also better than nothing.

btw, i didnt know that the JVC is supporting FLAC. which particular model again?
http://www.jvc.net/my/car_audio/cd_receiver/

all 3 did not mention FLAC support sad.gif
