Are OEM Thai or Schmaco engine mounts ok for Swifts?

And is Toyota's T-IV transmission fluid ok instead of the recommended Mobil3309/Suzuki fluid? And how often should you change the transmission filter?
*
Not sure about engine mounts but for ATF you should stick with ori Suzuki ATF.

Suzuki Swift 1.4 change all 4 absorbers to GAB with Ori mountings quoted at shop 2k is it okay?

Anybody have experience changing absorber for this swift model?

Only want it to retain the standard comfort level

Currently very rough when going thru uneven roads n car feels floaty

Don't use Gab, bad quality. I had tried before on another car, regret buying it but it's damn cheap (only 1k for all 4). For 2k you can get ori KYB Japan instead if that GAB junk.

1k not including workmanship?

Can elaborate on it? Is it bad handling? I only use for city majority, highways maybe once every 2 months

With workmanship almost 1.2k.

No, not bad handling but noisy like broken absorbers when on rough roads! The body also is light, tube casing feels thin, and sounds more hollow. Just avoid at all cost, I guarantee you will regret!

Don't know about GAB but there seems to be a premium GAB line which is "heavy duty". I changed my stock ones to TKC and it seems ok.

Yeah Im surveying this workshop as well as they use kayaba and quoted price upfront thru whatsapp

How is ur experience with kyb abs? Durable and comfortable? Same like standard abs feeling?

Im preparing around 2.5k for all 4 abs and mountings, and rear bearings

Fineworks is recommended. His prices are not the cheapest but reasonable and his workmanship is very good. I changed almost all my suspension parts for one of my Swift Sports with him.

yes, the good thing about this workshop, the price is listed on the fb pages is public. so no need to pm laugh.gif .
for me the price quite ok because the seller claim KYB ori japan. and most of the spare parts he has is either ori or high quality OEM.this what his claim la.
and the price always quoted with installation.
- lst time i change the both front and rear absorber, then change the vvt gasket due to oil leaking there.
same as stock feeling. so far few years already. since 2019. but i wish it more stiff at the back. since if full load with people. it seem more lowered at the rear. but this is due to spring . not absorber. i just changed the absorber, spring still stock.

personal experience, I did use Toyota T-IV for my Swift before. No issues with transmission.
But keep in mind that Toyota type 4 is not synthetic, so you have to change out sooner than Suzuki's ATF.
