I believe the reason why the newer houses designs have a toilet in the middle is to allow more natural light in from the rear of the house. if traditionally the toilet is at the back, there is only 1/2 width of house at the rear to put windows. Went to BRDB Taman Sari show houses, they also have toilets in the middle. I&P (Alam Impian) is also at the middle. I even saw some modern houses/condos even put washroom at the entrance door. |
