My overclocked pc is making my room like dubai hot especially during gaming and 3d rendering. Is unbearable and I am looking for solution. Even with AC on, I still can feel waves of heat coming from the pc. So I am thinking to find a way to directly duct the heat from the pc fan, and out to my windows.

My rig:
i7 3930k 3.2ghz (OC 4.2ghz)
16gb ram
GTX680
2 hdd + 1 ssd
650w psu
corsair 500r casing
corsair H100i water cooler

I need some idea on the kind of accessories available which I can use to duct top fanx2 above my pc and direct go out to my windows. For intake, there are 2 fan in front of the case, and 1 big fan at the side of the casing. Water cooling cpu exhaust will be through the 2 fan on top. HDD, PSU exhaust from the back of the case.

Judging from what I tested, the most serious heat coming from the watercooler exhaust fan on top. the back exhaust seems ok... so maybe I can totally ignore that. I just need to find a way to connect the top exhaust fans... install a duct.... and find a way to release the heat outside my windows.

Need some advice on what kind of accessories I can use.. is there a standard ducting accessories that i can screw directly onto my 12mm fan on top? even better, if there is a kind of adapter for the 2 fans connect to a single duct. And not sure if the hot air are able to go all the way out.

another issue is with my window.. cause my windows swing up (not left/right)... I need to mod a thin+long exhaust output, so it can slot out from under the small gap below window panel... I cant open the windows all the way, since sometime i need to on aircond, and also for privacy purpose (outside is common corridor)

Please share with me if any of you have done this kind mod. I know it may look quite stupid, but I am hoping I can make it as nice as possible. icon_question.gif

Since hot air rises, why not place your rig on the table instead underneath your table. That might help a bit.

I been thinking bout that before.. but I am a bit worry of the table cannot sustain the weight of the pc.... and also it takes up too much valuable workspace... I got 2 monitors basically taking up the whole length of my table. sad.gif

Em.. That's exactly what I wan to do.. If I din on the PC.. The room temperature is fine.. If I run game.. My room will hv free heater.. That's y thinking to exhaust out the heat direct from PC to window. So it won't kept in d room ... Will it work...? Hmm

Actually, if your room is cold enough, it would not heat up so easily. But that might be cosy, because you will need to on your aircon all day~

I will wish my room is cold enough and with aircon!!! but previously my monthly electric bill exceed RM400 rclxub.gif now don't dare to on aircond already...

By the way I got some update on my set up.. will post photos later.. hehe

Here is my current setup... can really feel the heat coming out from the otherside of the duct.... but I find there isn't enough pulling power.... bought a casing fan to be installed at the "exit" but still looking for the cable long enough to connect the fan to my motherboard.

I notice my CPU temperature got increase by 2-3 degrees with this. Usually is about 69-70degress when loaded.. Now is about 70-73 degrees.. Hopefully after install the fan, will be cooler..
But my room does feel a lot cooler compare before.... so I think it somehow works... sweat.gif Any other suggestion to improve on this ugly "mod"
