I'm a samsung galaxy note edge user but I'll take that as similar to note 4. I'm reaching a problem when the screen is off for several minutes, all incoming notifications are "paused" or most appropriately, it will not prompt any notifications unless i turn on the screen and launch any app.
Which means for instance I am having a conversation with a group of people on whatsapp and it is supposed to go on for a long time until i turn off my phone screen. After a few minutes there will be no notifications (as in vibration and/or tone and/or notif light) prompt on whatsapp message. After 10 minutes and I turn on the screen, and then launch ANY of the software whether if it's application or system side (such as settings), whatsapp will start receiving messages and only that time will prompt the notifications, where all messages with different sent time will be received in one shot. Technically, I could say when i turn my phone's screen off and leave it for several minutes it will put the device into deep sleep. Any solutions on this problem? Cuz it has bugged me as I have the need to receive urgent information instantly. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: using lollipop.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Jul 29 2015, 11:24 PM) did you turn on following things ? setting > sounds and notification > scroll to bottom > look for notification > while locked choose show all content Yes it has been ticked and I have double-checked that section before when this problem occurs. Well after upgrading to lollipop this is only one of the few issues.. It has a few minor bugs too e.g. when I turn on the screen, there's a point when a persistent "touch" on the screen which it won't go away, immobilizing the menu screen and buttons below (back and multitasking button) until I turn the screen off and on again. And also the auto-brightness bug.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Jul 29 2015, 11:55 PM) how about you check this ? did you notice your phone wifi is OFF when you lock your phone for awhile, then on it back then the phone only connect wifi ? I face this issue few days ago, wifi automatically off when my phone is off if this is happen, go setting > wifi > click the 3 dot at top right > advance > keep wifi during sleep > set always I've also double-checked that function too when it occurs. I could say now that I may really need to factory reset my device

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Aug 1 2015, 03:51 PM) It looks just like a big s6! Hopefully they'll implement the edge screen functions like note edge or else that function will be very unique to only note edge This post has been edited by lolzcalvin: Aug 1 2015, 04:02 PM

QUOTE(benny888 @ Aug 1 2015, 09:24 PM) The EDGE in S6 Edge is a BIG BIG FAILURE from Samsung vs Note Edge. Samsung should not even have the EDGE in its S6 if they cannot even do a proper good job Firstly unlike Note Edge, the S6 Edge edge is darn unresponsive - you get frust trying to use it. Swiping up and down at many times is just disappointing with no and minimal response You cannot assign any apps to the Edge unlike NOTE Edge Newsfeed on the Edge of S6E is hopelessly poor, lousy and useless I always advise my friend buy the S6 Edge ONLY if you like its design and NOT for the Edge functions !! Agree, my aunt's using s6 edge and I did compare the edge function of both note edge and s6 edge. Well, everything about appearance and design of that curve along with its "colourful function" s6 edge took the lead. See #1 and #2: http://www.androidcentral.com/galaxy-s6-ed...y-can-do#slide2The lead has stopped when she kept complaining to me about that she got an s6 edge because she thought it would have shared same functions with the note edge. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Both comparison:
