Yep, the damage for sure isn't cureable. If you're about to move from Note4, what you got in mind?

saw one guy posted rm279 but no stock yet...perhaps tomorrow got stock.
anyway...was at lyn yesterday..end up with some messy and cheap setting...hahaha

1x AVF hdmi to vga (apparently my tv no MHL) rm79
1x iPega controller rm95 (later only found forum got sell for rm80...and thailand rm60!!!)

But the AVF thingy couldn't charge the phone fast enough...
I'm not entirely sure if the galaxy multimedia dock can mirror n4 screen to tv hdmi port (without MHL) or not...
*
MHL should not matter on your TV, since the MHL is being output from the phone.

In fact I have no idea how a TV can be "MHL-enabled" since it is purely receiving a HDMI input, which is irrelevant since the signal is coming from the phone. Probably just marketing bs.

What you need is an MHL cable which is microusb for the phone end and HDMI for the TV end.

Charging can probably be better if you got an MHL 2.0 cable since it is supposed to output without the need for separate power. Separate power should allow faster charging with MHL 2.0.

There is an outlet in LYP that has the dock going for RM297 I think. It's at the rear beside the luggage store.

I bought a Note 4 delivered from HK from Lazada. How do I know whether it is a imitation. There are spelling mistake on the screen protector 'carema' and 'selact' and these the Samsung Codes don't work:-

*#0289# [Melody Test Mode]
*#03# [NAND Flash S/N]
*#0588# [Proximity Sensor Test Mode]
*#0589# [Light Sensor Test Mode]
*#0673# [Audio Test Mode]
*#07# [Test History]
*#0782# [Real Time Clock Test]
*#0842# [Vibra Motor Test Mode]
*#12580*369# [SW & HW Info]
*#1575# [GPS Control Menu]
*#2263# [RF Band Selection]
*#232331# [Bluetooth Test Mode]
*#232337# [Bluetooth Address]
*#232338# [WLAN MAC Address]
*#232339# [WLAN Test Mode]

When I Googled the Build Number it refers to Nexus 5.
When I check the imei number fromwww.emai.info it did say Note 4

If you like it big whistling.gif take the Huawei P8 Max. Or a Nexus 6 for the pure stock experience.

Caveat: Huawei sux at updates, so you might only get a viable update 1 year down the road.

Wannam close to stock
Leaner rom - SS ( very lean)  or Sweetrom
All these 3 I had tested n are good n stable
Go and read XDA for its details
I am now on SS rom.
NO need to wipe data if flash over stock rom for these
Just wipe cache is sufficient
*
Hi Uncle Ben,

Could u provide a direct link to the xDA Thread of the custom ROM that you've mentioned? blush.gif

I see now...an MHL enabled TV allows the TV to *CHARGE* your device while it is connected.

A non-MHL TV needs a separate power supply to keep your device charged.

Well, it doesn't change the fact that MHL output goes to your TV's HDMI input, so not having an MHL TV doesn't really matter.

Well well....5.1.1 for the Note 4 !!!!!

Sprint only for now:

If the N910C gets 5.1.1 it would go a long way to solving the niggling issues that 5.0.2 has.

Yes.

As I said, now with MHL enabled TVs or monitors, the TV itself can charge your device without needing a separate power input.
