QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Mar 1 2021, 07:21 PM) Isn't the medical cost has increased which means that the premium paid (eligible for tax relief) for medical coverage portion may not be the same as last year? Yes you're rightMine although total same as last YA but the portion between life and medical changed where medical gets higher now Luckily my EA is holding me back otherwise... |

It might sound silly but just to confirm If I am unsure of the eligibility of my deduction claim and I choose to totally leave it out from my submission (and if it is in fact can be deducted) is not against the law right? MUM liked this post

QUOTE(prime27 @ Apr 20 2021, 12:11 AM) Hi Sifu, As you had provided your bank account number during submission, the exccess will be refundedAfter all relief declared, my actual tax payable is less than PCB/MTD paid, any extra steps to claim back excessive payment? Or just sit back and wait for refund? How long waiting time to received it? Sorry if question below were asked before, my first time to file income tax How soon it will be refunded? Can be as soon as about 2 weeks to a month, I guess the number of refunds / submission during that week plays a part too Usually I submitted within the first few days and received the refund in my bank account within 1 week plus |

QUOTE(coldbasecamp @ Apr 21 2021, 11:53 PM) First time tax payer, bought a few books in Kinokuniya and Popular Book Store. You can claim as long as you have the original receiptI am a member of Popular Book Store, I supposed tracing back should not b an issue for gov since the receipt has printed my membership ID. For Kinokuniya however, am I able to submit as it is for tax deduction? I don't know how to explain if audited lol. Need advise on this, thanks Sifus. No requirement to have your name printed If you claimed but you failed to produce the proof when audited, then you will have to pay |

QUOTE(qwer312 @ Apr 25 2021, 11:22 PM) Thanks for info, I just check e-lejar and found that company just pay 2020 March tax to LHDN at 2021 March, no wonder the e-BE form which auto generate in system will show one month PCB less than the PCB total amount at EA form...so in e-BE form, I can fill in the same PCB total amount as EA form? PCB amount in your e-BE should had been auto-filled according to e-ledger right? And I do not think you can change it as you likeIf your HR is doing the right thing, it should be tally Yes it is always paid one month late, but it will indicate the payment is for your salary of month xxx So I would suggest you checking with your HR as the first step |

QUOTE(dwRK @ Feb 27 2022, 02:31 PM) The issue is like what Human Nature saidWe assumed before as long as the premium was the same and the % for life / medical = no change When the statement came out the numbers were different DANG This post has been edited by coolguy_0925: Feb 27 2022, 04:08 PM Human Nature liked this post

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Feb 28 2022, 08:57 PM) The PCB amount at my EA form is wrong and I have informed HR to correct it, still in process. If the correct amount is still not reflected at the e-filling form, can I change the figure on my own? IIRC, the column in e-BE is auto / not changeableYou can double check if e-ledger is correct, if so then no worry only EA form needs to be revised |
