subscription for student can claim but ACCA membership fee can not

So you mean after becoming a member of a professional body, the annual fee cannot be claimed? Same goes for MIA?

Hey guys, just want to check about tax deduction.

The life insurance can be tax deductible. I have life insurance that covers myself and paid by myself.

Can this yearly premium payment be shared with my spouse??

Not every employer uses the same payroll system.
No.

What if I don’t claim the deductible but I take it as my spouse paid on behalf of me?

It’s not deductible because it’s not under your spouse name even if is paid by your spouse she still can’t claim it.

I see. Noted with thanks

guys,

I want to ask about personal relief for parents as such from the LHDN website:

Parent
Limited 1,500 for only one mother
Limited 1,500 for only one father

So basically I can just claim RM 3,000 without doing anything?

Yes.
But if you have siblings, you have to discuss on who want to claim or divide equally.

I see

Hmm this is a sensitive issue. Haha I wonder should I amend my prior years assessment

Any advise? Subject to audit? Haha

Since you have to key in your parents NRIC, I believe it's traceable and auditable.
*
Okay. But if I submit an amendment for prior years YA

Will they audit me straight?

I think no need to amend.
If audit, that is considered as random bad luck.

What you have to do is to do correctly starting this year filing?

I'm not sure if you can still submit amendment for yester-years.

I know they audit corporate tax but do they audit personal tax???

Touch wood anyone got experience??

Need some advise on the following:

Life insurance and EPF INCLUDING not through salary deduction

Pensionable public servant category
Life insurance premium
OTHER than pensionable public servant category
Life insurance premium (Restricted to RM3,000)
Contribution to EPF / approved scheme (Restricted to RM4,000)

The EPF contribution is additional contribution or existing compulsory 11% for employee?

according to this site...

1. EPF Contribution
Maximum Tax Relief: RM4,000
Criteria: Total employee contribution to EPF capped at RM4,000 (Previously EPF + Life Insurance was combined as a single tax relief and capped at RM6,000).
EPF contribution through non-salary deduction (i.e. voluntary contribution) is included as well for tax relief purposes.
