Question about tax filling and working oversea.
Recently starting working this January for my first full time job ever and my gross pay is Rm4.4k and there is PCB being deducted of around RM88 per month.
I am planning to move to Japan for work long term this April onward and I wonder if I should do tax filling for the first 3 months that I worked in Malaysia?
From what I read online,
i) as long as I am in Malaysia for less than 182 days for a calendar year, I am not a Malaysian Tax Resident, thus no tax to be paid.
ii) If annual income is less than Rm34,000 then I am not required to pay tax. If I were to work a full calendar year in Malaysia of course I am required to pay but since I only work for 3 months, which is less than RM34,000.
Does that mean I do not need to pay any tax and tax filling since I do not fulfill these 2 criterias?
by the way, you can ask the one who told you not tax resident thus no tax to be paid fly his kite.Recently starting working this January for my first full time job ever and my gross pay is Rm4.4k and there is PCB being deducted of around RM88 per month.
