Hi , to my understanding for non resident tax are at 28% on income. Is there any relief that can be deducted ? Google around seems only mention 28% and not much other information about this so hope some tax expert can chip in.

Yeah , i got read that earlier. So mean insurance , personal or whatever is not deductible, income nett x 28% = tax

So conclusion is those who work or reside at overseas and have any sort of business or rental income is directly taxed at 28% .

Hi all, have a question regarding CP500. I already paid last year for 2018. However I don't see this paid amount anywhere in my e-filling for B. Could anyone explain how this works?

Hi experts, was given an understanding that for child who is over 18 yrs old & pursuing studies, relief of 8k will be given to the tax payer. Question is what if the child is receiving regular monthly salary income from the family business & is one of the partner of a partnership. Can the father (taxpayer) still entitled for that 8k relief?

Thanks in advance

The child receives monthly salary....does that means he is working?
if YES,....then my wild guess is cannot...for the words....."who is receiving full-time instruction in Malaysia at a university, college, or other similar educational establishment or is serving under articles or indentures with a view to qualifying in a trade or profession.
