QUOTE(spreeeee @ Mar 25 2019, 03:18 PM) how to get this amount from gov? after filing up the e-filing, but 'cukai terlebih bayar' won't show this amount.. You have to call LHDN and ask them to transfer any excess. As I mentioned in a previous post, any excess will not be touched by LHDN even to payoff any outstanding in e lejar. We have to call LHDN personally do that.attached from e-lejer. On a side note, does anybody here know anyway to contact LHDN Shah Alam branch? I've been calling and calling but no success, not even to an operator. Calling LHDN HQ is abit easier but they already did their part and its the branch thats not doing their job or at least not fast enough. I'm trying to get them to transfer an excess in my e lejar. |

How To Claim For A Tax Refundforgot to ask what form.. the line so difficult to get thru till now.. any idea what form? Tax Refund will be credited into the account automatically to the taxpayer within 30 working days after the submission of Income Tax Return Forms (ITRF). However, if you do not receive your refund, you can forward your application to the Collections Unit of the branch where your file is located or complete and submit via our Feedback Form http://maklumbalas.hasil.gov.my/ or by calling Hasil Care Line at toll free number 1-800-88-5436 (LHDN). QUOTE(MUM @ Mar 11 2019, 04:34 PM) unknown, not sure, how this is applicable or related to this condition.... Hi I find out from the tax department, yes, I'm allowed to claim RM8,000. This is allowed if your child is above 18, unmarried, doing a full time diploma and above course in Malaysia or a degree and above course outside Malaysia. The course of study and the college/uni must be recognised by the Malaysia government.http://www.hasil.gov.my/bt_goindex.php?bt_...sequ=1&bt_lgv=2 |

QUOTE(LemonJane @ Mar 11 2019, 04:23 PM) I have a question: After completing an accounting degree course in Australia, my son went on to do the CPA Australia programme in 2018. He did not work so was effectively studying full time for the online learning programme, doing 3 subjects for the 2 semesters in 2018. Can I claim tax relief of RM8,000 ? He was above 18 and unmarried. Appreciate quick advise QUOTE(LemonJane @ Mar 26 2019, 12:04 PM) Hi I find out from the tax department, yes, I'm allowed to claim RM8,000. Just wondering, let's say after filing, PCB is insufficient and still need to pay RM3000 tax. Is it possible to split the tax payment 3x times into:
1) March MBB Amex RM1k 2) April MBB Amex RM1k 3) April MBB VS RM1k Any issue ? Or the system not allow multiple payments ? |

QUOTE(David83 @ Mar 26 2019, 11:04 PM) Yes, I guess you may remember I ask similiar question few weeks ago. Initially thinking to top-up BigPay card 2-3 times over March and April using MBB FCB, then use BigPay to pay tax one time. But now my MBB FCB 2.5k fully utilised for March, so have to change plan. MBB Amex cannot use to top up BigPay Hence my question above. 0.8% fee is still lower than cashback from Amex weekend 5% and FCB 2% Wait ... MBB Amex pay income tax can earn weekend 5% ? |

Yes, you will earn cash back but you won't get any TP since it's under government services.Initially thinking to top-up BigPay card 2-3 times over March and April using MBB FCB, then use BigPay to pay tax one time. what document I need to keep for record if I want to claim the RM5000 medical expenses for parent? My father has cancer treatment last year, so I just need to keep those receipt statement from hospital that has my father name right? Do consultation fee and hospitalization fee consider as medical treatment expenditures?
I don't it mentioned what detail is needed on the receipt. 2. Tax deductions for medical and healthcare expenditures for the parents only amount to RM5,000 is eligible for claim regardless of the parents’ total income. The expenditures comprise: a) Medical treatment expenditures for parents who are diagnosed with diseases or physical/mental disabilities, and healthcare services that are supported by receipts issued by medical practitioners who are registered under the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC), pharmacies or licensed drug stores; or b) Special needs expenditures such as nutritional food and disposable diapers that are prescribed and endorsed by medical practitioners registered under the MMC and supported by receipt of purchase.
