I got letter from LHDN to pay the balance tax for YA 2022 by 24 April 2023.

However, when I check in my MyTax account, it says payment due date is 15 May 2023.

Meanwhile, LHDN website says payment due date is 30 April 2023.

How come 3 official sources have 3 different dates? Which is the correct date?

I submitted late for BE filing this year by 1 day, seems like there is a penalty of RM200 from the amount I can get back. Do you think I can appeal? Or just silent and wait for the overpayment money to be refunded.

Somehow until now still didn't receive the refund yet.
*
Are you sure about the RM200 penalty? I have done some years back, in the event of overpayment of tax via PCB, I was not fined. As by right, the PCB = cukai muktamad.

Would like to ask, are unit trust income taxable for 2022/2023 onwards?
I have bought Amanah Saham Malaysia 3 and ASN Imbang 3, and wondered if there's a need to declare it. I received an email from ASNB on Income Distribution Statement and wondered if this would be required for income tax purposes.
Thanks a lot

Anyone can confirm if the RM350 tax relief for SOCSO contribution also includes EIS deductions?

Wording in BE 2023: "Caruman kepada Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (PERKESO) mengikut Akta Keselamatan Sosial Pekerja 1969 atau Akta Sistem Insurans Pekerjaan 2017"

Does anybody know what this RM99 is referring to? I can't tally it with my payslips and unsure where it's coming from and what it's referring to.

what is this for?

This is the EA form provided by my previous employer that I quit in Jan 2020.

Basically tp1 is early rebate. Means your estimate how much rebate you have and the pcb will be lesser for the year.

Means your taxable income is 99 bucks less for some reason.
*
Okay, let’s say that my taxable income via PCB was RM99 lower.

How does this impact me for tax filing? Or it doesn’t impact and I can ignore, since the tax filing will recompute my taxable income and the RM99 will be included in my relied?

Btw, I checked with previous HR. RM24.75 x 4 months = RM99.00. The RM24.75 is my monthly Socso contribution.

Would have submitted earlier, but the revison in the income tax rate caught me by surprise. I dont recall about this during the budget speech. But it's a welcome surprise.

It was announced back then and the adjustment was reflected by mid year's PCB deductions.
