Your total deposits for 3 years is only 9k and you already claim 6k in 2016. So what do you think?

Answer is 3k.
*
say if using the same example.. and login to e-filing today, it auto shows sspn tax relief as 6k, should i accept it, or amend it to 3k?

You should amend it.
It's your responsibility to ensure that whatever you key in to the system is accurate.
When audit arises, you can't push that responsibility to LHDN saying that it is auto-populate.

i posted the question some times ago, need to confirm the following again:

-Year 2016, I deposited RM6K, hence during tax submission in 2017, I can get tax relief of RM6K.

-Year 2017, I withdraw RM3K and didn't make new deposit, hence during tax submission in 2018, I can't claim sspn tax relief.

-Year 2018, I deposited RM6K, how much tax relief if I do tax submission in 2019? 6k? or 3k?

Where is your SSPN annual statement for income tax?
Please use that as the reference.

i've checked with ptptn/sspn officer.. it is a net deposited $, so whatever was withdrawn and then deposited, cannot be counted for tax relief..

so 3k is the answer..

For SSPN, it's counted by year right?

For instance for 2019 i deposit RM8k in Dec 2019 and i'm entitled for RM8k tax relief.

Then I withdraw RM8k in Jan 2020 and I do not claim any tax relief for the year 2020.

Then I deposit again RM8k in 2021 and I'm entitled for RM8k tax relief for 2021? (let's assume tax relief remains the same at RM8k)

0 tax relief..

counted by net deposit!

QUOTE(zeronuker @ Mar 25 2019, 03:33 PM)
You have to call LHDN and ask them to transfer any excess. As I mentioned in a previous post, any excess will not be touched by LHDN even to payoff any outstanding in e lejar. We have to call LHDN personally do that.

On a side note, does anybody here know anyway to contact LHDN Shah Alam branch? I've been calling and calling but no success, not even to an operator. Calling LHDN HQ is abit easier but they already did their part and its the branch thats not doing their job or at least not fast enough.

I'm trying to get them to transfer an excess in my e lejar.

called, and they asked to download form and then submitted to counter..

How To Claim For A Tax Refund
Tax Refund will be credited into the account automatically to the taxpayer within 30 working days after the submission of Income Tax Return Forms (ITRF). However, if you do not receive your refund, you can forward your application to the Collections Unit of the branch where your file is located or complete and submit via our Feedback Form http://maklumbalas.hasil.gov.my/ or by calling Hasil Care Line at toll free number 1-800-88-5436 (LHDN).
