QUOTE(MUM @ Apr 7 2025, 08:03 AM) Not a qualified tax comment, but I think, okay I guess ill include it under other gains.Under declare or did not declare income can be subjected to penalty. Try add the amount received in Form BE under "other gains" as you mentioned. Do remember to keep the income statement from Shopee for audit purposes. |

Is buying cholesterol or high blood medicine form pharmacy for parents deductible? The guideline says serious diseases in relation to heart attack or hypertension but theoretically it’s not the disease but it’s to reduce the risk of those serious diseases

Hi friends,
can ask about medical insurance tax relief please? Is medical insurance tax relief claimed as per actual premium payment made in that year or as per policy premium for that year? example, A bought medical insurance premium RM3000 per year If he paid his 2023 and 2024 premiums rm3k x 2 years, all paid 1 shot together in 2023 ie paid all RM6k paid in 2023 Can he claim medical insurance relief 3k for 2024 and 3k for 2025? TQ This post has been edited by guy3288: Apr 12 2025, 07:36 PM |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Apr 12 2025, 09:52 PM) Logically like that , I think it means can claim tax relief each year rm3k. That means pay rm6k (medical insurance premium for 2years combined) in 1 year, Next year no premium will be paid. So we claim medical insurance tax relief 3k this year And next year claim tax another RM3k although no actual payment done as it had been paid in advance previous year. Boleh? But some said if look at receipt, then problem. Receipt showed 1 year paid rm6k Next year no payment 0! No payment =no tax relief?? Any one got such experience pay 2years premium 1shot Then break it to claim tax relief in 2 years taxes? |

If I have 2 insurance policies for tax relief, do I combine both policies, or can I use only 1 of the policy?
e.g. combine both life, and both medical |

Maybe can refer to this??e.g. combine both life, and both medical Examples To illustrate how you should calculate your insurance tax reliefs, here’s a scenario: let’s say an individual has three insurance plans with AIA that includes a few types of coverage. Here are his annual insurance statements: https://ringgitplus.com/en/blog/income-tax/...e-premiums.html |

Seeking second opinion
If I’m working overseas, I would declare my Malaysian income as zero (0). However, I still have insurance and lifestyle in Malaysia that could be used for tax relief. Can I still declare these reliefs like this? • Income: 0 • Tax reliefs: RM5,000 Will this cause any issues with LHDN? Or is it better to just declare everything as zero? |
