Recently my dog just came in contract with fleas, and I've already bought him for an injection at the vet and was advised to use frontline spray for the the dog as for cleaning I've use Bayticol to mop the floors and sprayed on every single corner and furniture but still I don't see any improvement!!!

Can anyone pls give me any advice on what to do..... cry.gif

can refer to this http://pestcemetery.com/green-lights-work-attract-fleas/

make sure to use green filament light bulb (for heat) and not LED type

also, put some detergent into the water in order to reduce water surface tension, so that the fleas are drowned.

Use Diatomaceous Earth (food grade)

There are sellers on LYN selling.

Put all around your house, carpets, on your mattress, bedsheet hard to reach places and generous amounts on your dog.
Let it set in for a few days - Yes it is dusty and will get dirty.
After that send all your carpets to laundry, and bedsheets washed too.

I did all this, for a week.
And touchwood, since August last year still no sign of new fleas.

Does it kill the eggs too ? Should I vacuum it after a few days ? And do I have to wash everything with hot water ?

Yes DE kills eggs too.
I vacuumed my carpets first to excite the fleas and poured DE over and rubbed it in.
Rolled it up and left it at a corner of my house for a few days before sending it to laundry.

All corners of my house, I spread DE, so basically my floor had traces of DE too.
Whatever floor mats, bedsheets were sent to laundry and before replacing i spread DE on each mattress first before putting new ones on.
All fabrics were either sent for washing or had DE spread onto them.

5-6 days later major clean up of the house.
Then every week I rubbed DE onto the fur of my cat, for 1 month. Shower once every 2 weeks.
DE is not harmful or toxic, so the only downfall would be that it may get dusty.

As for asthma, I suggest you check with the sellers.
You have to leave it there for about 5-6 days, depending on the amount you use.
I did not want to risk fleas coming back so I put a lot and rubbed into my carpets and sent to the laundry. No use vacuuming, not possible. Other areas like corners of your house, under furniture etc, you can vacuum after 5-6 days.

Your clothes that you leave out in your rooms, the places your dog usually rests, dog bed, play pen etc all needs DE to be rubbed in.

DE doesn't work in moist/ wet conditions - please take note.

After a week you can clean your house with water and soap lol DE will get sticky on your feet.
Like I've said for a week your house will be a little dusty and sticky, but just bare with it. After a week you can mop around as usual. Be very generous when using it, I ordered 800grams I think and after a month I still had half when I covered most of my house with it laugh.gif

Good luck!
