I use this flash with different canon cameras. Depends what you want to do with the flash. On camera flash its fine with all.

Off camera flash the slave mode getting triggered by camera's pop up flash its sometimes fails depending on which camera used. But once you buy a master controller trigger like the 560-tx you get perfect full off camera flash control.

I've used it on EOS m, 650d, 7d mk2, 6d.

You can bring your camera and test the flash in a shop. Maybe bring 4 aa batts too in case they don't have.

other than live view, all other mode is working fine including manual mode,
i not sure the live view incompatibility is due to usage of magic lantern,
but the yn560 mk4 have built in wireless flash signal receiver, and it work like a charm.

Basically, go into the menu and find Silent Live View Shoot. It was in the last camera mode menu on the 70D.
It gave me the option of Mode 1, Mode 2 Disable.
I chose Disable.

Now everything seems to work just fine.
Problem solved.

//what i found from internet. you can try and see... xD

Just play around with my YN-560 iv and Canon 70D... not good sweat.gif mad.gif
Doesn't work on camera/hot-shoe...
When I attached 560 iv directly to the 70d, I got an error message saying the flash unit is not compatible with the camera.

Does anyone with the same set-up having the same problem?

Now thinking of buying YN560-TX radio trigger..
but the question is whether it compatible with my 70D..
i. e. Will it sync ?
