frankly speaking,
i wasn't a NOD32 fan initially.

Use to test Kaspersky, love it but really memory hungry..slow down my notebook 1.4GHz Centrino Twinhead
Then i try MKS_Virus 2005(from poland)....it was fantastic...a bit better than kaspersky but come with firewall..registry checking...etc....full suite,i think, but never the less...support is not that good.

Since tested the NOD32 v2.5....it is really light on my system,i just love it even now.
Have tried the BitDefender v10....quite good but really memory hogging and slow down your system..

I have try both,NOD32 and BitDefender in my notebook..disable each Antivirus each time..and i can confirm BitDefender is really running heavy on my system.

The good point for BiDefender,u can purchase from someone in lowyat for mere RM38,i think...it is value for money.
As for NOD32,it is RM128...

AS for malware and trojan.. i have tried Spyware Sweeper,Spyware Doctor and AVG AntiSpware(Ewido,formerly).....for me,Spyware Doctor seem to slow my system a bit .

Anti-spyware options

Free combo
1. Spybot
2. Adaware

If you're running NOD32 and Firefox you're pretty much safe even without an online scanner like Windows Defender or Ewido, unless you always surf for p0rn or don't follow basic rules of online safety.

Buy
Webroot Spy Sweeper or Spyware Doctor
Both are equally good but Webroot just edges out the doctor.
Both are RAM hogs as well.

i'm an ex-symantec corporate (workstation) user too, it is light but the detection is just a so-so... was infected by malware (by the time it detects, the trojan already invaded my system), so switched to AVS since then

I feel AIO solution would be something like Zone Lab's AIO or Bit Defender but they're resource hungry applications.

Nod32 is the way to go for install and forget anti-virus solutions. Usually install it at non-techie types computer, it does a good enough job without asking too many questions.

It is not a bad but "suite" = AIO = resource hog.
Symantec and McAfee fallen from grace lately.
Still in top 5 but people like Kaspersky, Eset, BD have come up.

Is it Kaspersky Internet Security Suite? I don't think that the AV would be so adventurous to remove the Firewall. LOL. I might be wrong. Cheers!
