QUOTE(simchengheng @ Jun 25 2015, 11:11 AM) Dear all sifus, which region should i go for? any particulars? i know for psp is region free game, how about ps4? But DLC is region locked, then which region is better? PSN Store games are region free on the PS4, and you can buy from say the US store and play on your Asian account that's no problem.US store has more games , faster releases and more apps (netflix, hulu etc)- but it can be a pain to manage your payment. So far I only use pre-paid PSN cards to load credit. Which is a hassle. I've not been successful with Entropay, Paypal, local credit cards. I also have an Asian account, it's just easier to use my credit card for payments this way. Whether it's PS plus subscription or whatever. |

also, it really depends on what kind of game you want to play. If you prefer chinese titles, then R3 it is. Personally I am using R3. Store has less content compared to R1
If you want cheap games, and sometimes massive sales, and digital games, get R1 although reloading to your PSN account might not be as easy.( remember to also get bigger memory card for the digital games lol ). Generally, even physical games under R1 are slightly to massively cheaper depending on titles. Lastly, if you're a fan of japanese games then R2 should be good for u This post has been edited by BBXiong: Jun 25 2015, 12:16 PM |

Is it possible to top up credit via credit card like what we used to do in steam? in that case, R1 should be okay as well.US store has more games , faster releases and more apps (netflix, hulu etc)- but it can be a pain to manage your payment. Frankly speaking, japanese game always more fun to play with. the problem is i am only playing japanese game with english language. I dont understand japanese at all. i dont mind voice over in japanese, but must have english subtitle and english menu context in conditions. If you want cheap games, and sometimes massive sales, and digital games, get R1 although reloading to your PSN account might not be as easy.( remember to also get bigger memory card for the digital games lol ). Ok Asian R3 account you can use your own credit card, buy anything you want, no problem US store, must buy the PSN card with dollar amounts. Like this http://www.play-asia.com/playstation-netwo...-only/13/703y12 Cannot transfer R3 credit to R1. Cannot use Malaysian credit card at R1 store. |

i use R1 account. i just buy off the PSN credit from amazon using cimb kwik. or you could buy from a local seller for cheaper price
and let me remind you, it's way safer to use credits than putting your card details. don't you guys learn anything from past sony hacking attack? |

While you are not wrong. Do you only pay using cash and never use a credit card in the event someone clones/copies the card details? I've had that happen to me, and the guy bought some plane tickets, Bank won't hold you responsible. This post has been edited by pltan: Jun 25 2015, 03:10 PM |
