bought a new router dir816L to replace the unstable DIR615 from tm.

The unit has a BIG Support UNIFI sticker in front but when i try to configure it. It just does not work!!! Same things i put into the router, username, password PPPoE and it can't connect.

The status seems to be always busy and trying to connect.

Can somebody help me out with this.

Thanks.

Hill, I have tried to do the setting according to the blog and my router version and firmware was 2.0 SG.
I'm not sure it will have a different settings compared with that author's setting but I already contact with dlink customer service and their confirmed my unit is compatible with unifi.

So, what's probably was wrong??
I tried double and triple check my password it shouldn't be any minor mistake or whatever...

Anyone happen to have a same case with me, and probably have a solution to this problem, before have to use a final
resort that to turn in to dlink service centre?

Thanks, really appreciate it..

I'm asking based on experience helping few people setting up their router;
1) you're putting in your service password that you get from TM's 100 or TM's portal right? It's not the password that you use to login to the WIFI.

2) can you connect to the internet using the stock router from TM?

Those who fail to set up their new Unifi router, always check with router Log.

The Log keep all error or problem of your router.

Its more than a month. I wonder if TS solved his problem or not? D-Link did issue a firmware for DIR-816L with unifi support.

http://global.dlink.com.sg/support/support...p?idproduct=662

Should be very straight forward. I wanted to buy this also as my tmnet 615 router is acting up.

i bought the same router model and having same issue can't get into internet.
checking the connection status, it shows connected and obtained IP address but it start from the range 172.x.x.x instead(always this range no matter how many time reconnect).
checking traceroute it stop after enter tm network. it sure look like connected but can't get internet.
then i switch it back to my previous router L7 and it's working and able get internet, checking the ip it's not 172.x.x.x instead 203.x.x.x

still checking how to resolve this issue

Finally bought a DIR816L, it has a connection option for Unifi psw PPPOE. Call TM #100 to reset psw for this new router.
Much better than my DIR 615.
Disappointed on 5GHz feature not perform well. Hooked up with TP link extender to cover other area.

Mine was the password incorrect also and the TM installer never provided any password of the router, the so call password wrote on sign-off paper is not the password.

Yes the 5Ghz power ranger is much lower than the 2.4Ghz, lucky i use on small area.

I've just bought Dlink DIR-850L router, can't seem to connect to UNIFI with PPPoE username and password. Any help on this?
Many people seem to have issues with Dlink router from searching the net for more info.

i found a solution already for dlink dir 816l b1 it is a sdk version it has alot of function like print server ,torrent ,samba, file sharing and much more option like repeater mode vlan tagging for those who want try it get it here ftp://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DIR-816L/Fi..._sdk-master.bin
