has anyone here manage to do 15.7 windows 7/8.1 Vs windows 10 15.7 benchmark comparison?

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Jul 27 2015, 11:59 AM) The project cars wins 10 benchmark is outdated already. since they are testing is b4 15.7, b4 15.7 the win8 Amd driver does not have cpu overhead optimization, but the win 10 beta has some optimization already. So obvious we see win10 is faster on project cars back then. Now I hope to see win 10 vs win 8 CPU overhead bench base on the new 15.7. To see win 10 really make a huge diff or not. If u got powerful cpu, u might wanna down clock a bit to see the diff. This post has been edited by billytong: Jul 27 2015, 02:59 PM |

hey, thanks for taking time to do benchmark. Appreciated it btw what about futuremark draw call benchmark? Or any draw call benchmark on (win 8.1 + 15.7 vs win 10 + 15.7) btw What CPU spec? what clock speed? if ur cpu too fast it might make other benchmark marginally diff only. The goal here is to find whether is it worth to upgrade win10 immediately for AMD CPU optimization or wait 6 months later. |

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Jul 28 2015, 09:08 PM) thats still an ivy bridge 3.5GHz, still pretty fast. Anyway thanks again for the result. 10% is still quite significant jump especially on a fast CPU. (when u play lousy MMO/indie game use 1-2cores only it will be 10% gap performance). Microsoft+AMD must have done something to optimize DX11 there. if we put 290x on those slightly slower modern CPU like 2.8Ghz i5 or AMD FX or socket 1156 Nehelem, that 10% gap might grow bigger. anyway guys, I think not just me find this answer useful, hopefully u guys find it useful too. Basically it is confirm AMD user must upgrade to win10 ASAP. This post has been edited by billytong: Jul 28 2015, 09:42 PM |
