+1Best decision ever. I dont think Lisa Su is the one who pulled the string. Might be Raja who spanked arrogant Roy.

QUOTE(flexus90 @ Sep 18 2015, 12:09 AM) Out of curiosity, is there any possibility we can use VRAM as Ramdrive/Caching other stuff and etc in the future? Yes, it is possible with OpenCL.8GB fast memory sitting idle and only used for gaming seem to be a superfluous to me. Linux only so far. https://github.com/Overv/vramfs EDIT: Some linux distribution even use VRAM as Linux Swap (paging). But performance is very low......pcie overhead....data integrity check.......and way higher latency than DDR3/4. Moreover.....there is a need to translate/pass the pointer between VRAM and RAM addressing. That why AMD comes up with HSA to solve issues mentioned above.....except.....the APU doesnt exactly solve the bandwidth issue. HBM maybe? ..........You guys do realize 390x has two pcie power connectors. Not to mention the PSU has two +12 rails as well. It is sufficient providing he doesnt overclock.
First PCIE source from PCIE power connector. Second PCIE source from molex/sata to PCIE power connector. |

QUOTE(DeepMemory @ Sep 29 2015, 12:07 AM) The game will stop responding and popup to choose between choosing retry and safe mode. Initially the game ran fine yesterday but started having problems today. Then other games like Bioshock Infinite also having the same problem. Strange, AMD Catalyst 15.9 Beta mentioned ;Known Issues: [57189] GTA V crashes on some AMD Radeon R9 390X GPU's Mostly MSI 390x from comments around the web. I suggest you to wait for another 1 year before you start playing GTA V again. |
