R9 nano price cuts, how cheap can it be?  Who wants to reduce price for old stocks

The Radeon Pro Duo is watercooled, just like its single-GPU cousin, and with the price set at $1499 it won't be for casual or even most enthusiasts - this is a card for the die-hard enthusiasts who need 120FPS+ at 2560x1440 or 60FPS+ at 4K. Past that, it's a card built for VR and its 90FPS+ requirement, and developers are going to snap this up for game development thanks to its beefy horsepower.

should i go for Radeon Duo PRO or wait Polaris...

At first Im tempted to buy Polaris but since its delayed for long I no longer bother with it. Twice I've been put my 290x on Garage Sales but pull out both time, I glad I did that. 290X most likely handle any new games at fullHD resolution for at least another year by the look of things. Even if Polaris is on time with the release I'll wait because each new process toom time to mature and I dont want to be a 'beta' tester.

Yeah, GPU usage rarely went above 90% and in some areas my CPU usage was around 50% which already max out.

Mine is technically an i7 bro, slightly slower than i7-3770 but without iGPU.
Problem is that many games didn't benefit from HT.

damn im still on i7 4770k, can this last at least 2 years more, ur right many games dont make use of HT practically its a quad core only

This is such a... messy time. Dunno what words to describe.

What I needs : 1440p gaming. Hardware to support my occasionally rendering needs - which is CUDA. So 1070 seems like the way to go but it's ~MYR2000 a pop.

Now RX 480... ~MYR1000, while seems geared more towards 1080p gaming, but stack another one into crossfire and you get GTX1080's performance at ~MYR2000!! (if only the game support of course). But if I choose this, I will forsake my rendering needs - which I need to wait for software update to support OpenCL in the future.

So, with MYR2000 on hand...
getting a GTX1070 8GB is already a HUGE upgrade from my current 280X.
If RX 480 - it needs to be in PAIR to consider as HUGE upgrade... (4GB variant).
