Yamaha Band Mentor 2015 Season IV



Yamaha Band Mentor is a platform for aspiring musicians to enhance their level of musicianship. The program is to promote local talent and music at national and international level. 5 bands will be shortlisted from auditions.

2 selected bands will be mentored by renowned producer, Mr Aubrey Suwito. The best band enjoys cash prize and an all-expenses paid trip to Tokyo Japan as well as represents Malaysia to compete in International Band Competition, AsianBeat.

Unfortunately there is no promising on signing by major label for the event..

However it is a door of opportunity.. for your talent to be seen and to gain more exposure & experience..
Besides it is a good way for you to build network with people who are established in the music industry..
Last year we managed to invite manager of recording label, manager of TV station, a few famous figures from music industry as our panel of judges for local final..

If you manage to represent Malaysia to perform in Japan and your musicianship is that great.. Yamaha Japan might even consider endorsement..

Like I said.. it is a chance.. an opportunity..
It is all up to yourself whether you would want to give it a shot...
to take the key and unlock the possibilities..
to use the stepping stone to move forward..

Yamaha Band Mentor 2016 Season V is back



Yamaha Band Mentor provides a platform for aspiring musicians to enhance their level of musicianship. The program is to promote local talent and music at national and international level.

Selected semi finalist bands will be mentored by renown producer, Mr Aubrey Suwito, and the winning band at the Finals will represent Malaysia in the Asian Beat Grand Finals in Tokyo, Japan on 5th Nov 2016 to be held at the Musical Instrument Fair Japan.
