Guys...want to ask something. When ever my n80 run out of batt and died on me...i will recharge it when it's dead. After recharging and i on it again, i have to enter the date and time again??? Twice has already happened to me because i never bring my charger to office. It's not that i did it on purpose...just that i talk alot on the phone during office and it should turn off my itself when the batt is empty.

I have used other Nokia phone in the past and this has never happened to me when i recharge my phone when the batt is totally empty. Is there anyway i dont need to set the time and date again when my phone turn off due to batt is empy?
*
As far as I know, if the phone leave it there without battery for about half hours, the date and time memory would be gone.

1. Yes, you can use your N80 to surf the web using your wireless internet.

2. I would rate the build quality of the sliding mechanism 8/10.

3. Pics taken at pitch black room using the N80 is average, still viewable.

*
Well i would have rated the sliding mechanism maybe less than 6/10...it tends to get loose because there isn't a spring or ribbon support. Anyway the thing i like most about N80 is the screen resolution.

i would say thats a positive point, springs tend to get lose after sometime.. and of course, i think most of us know how much it cost to change a ribbon.

Hey guys, do u guys experience that sometimes (every time!) when u plug ur N80 through the cable to ur PC, it will prompt that it is unrecognized USD device? Then u need to unplug n plug several times for it to work. Is it just me or everybody experience this?

If it involved movable parts in the phone, it will lead to tear n wear, just the nature of things. If u r a very careful user, maybe the phone will last longer, but not forever cool.gif

Yes, i do agree on this.Previous slider model as in 6270, 6280 and the 6111 do have numerous complaint before about their loose slider and they are spring loaded.Maybe its just a case of preference of some liking it to be spring loaded and some not...

Anyway, i had checked the prices of N80 lately in the garage sales and notice that the original N80IE is even cheaper than the normal N80 version? Was there any way that can lead us to know how to differentiate between the IE version and the normal version?Different box?Phone labeling?

if im not mistaken, the IE edition would have the words "IE" beside the N80 words on the phone itself..and maybe the box also lah smile.gif

I personally never face this kind of problem before. Since your N80 is an original set, i suggest u go and claim the warranty of your display, or if u just bought it few days back, go back to the shop and ask for an exchange. Welcome to the club! smile.gif

Hey peeps, I'd like to ask about the latest price for an original set for the Nokia N80. I notice there's also the N80i (and possibly also the N80IE?) too?

Original warranted sets only please, not AP ones. And finally where can I get these phones in KL and PJ (reputable handphone shops)?

Thanks! rclxms.gif notworthy.gif

N80i = N80IE[which stands for internet edition btw] laugh.gif

for the N80IE ori set would be around rm1.9k+ while the normal version is slightly more xpensive if im not mistaken..around rm2.2k for ori set smile.gif

recommended shops?go to nokia authorized dealers laugh.gif
