QUOTE(bububang @ Mar 1 2007, 09:58 AM) Isnt that the n80i price is higher compare with n80? i scare get cheated when go the shop he say this is n80i that why the price higher.. but actually its n80.. hm... Sorry but I do not know about the current market situation of N80. I bought my N80 May last year. I do not know why the shop is selling N80i at a higher price (or the opposite). They are the same after all. |

QUOTE(Punish @ Mar 2 2007, 06:14 AM) Great Yeah, i believe so. my N80 was unable to install the Gizmo VOIP application during the last firmware, but after this firmware upgrade, Gizmo VOIP can be installed without problem. What is the differences between N80 and N80i when N80 already has Internet folder and VOIP ability? Are this mean our normal N80 completely evolve to N80 Internet Edition...what i mean is Normal N80 and N80i is the same thing..?? GTG |

QUOTE(wcwl @ Mar 2 2007, 10:20 AM) hi, i am thinking of getting n80i but afraid its price will drops much suddently within a month after i bought d fon Well, if you read carefully, the last firmware was v4.0623.0.42 and the new firmware is v4.0632.0.38. Do you notice that it has changed from v4.0623.X.XX to v4.0632.X.XX?? Like Winamp 5.7.1 is definately newer than 5.6.8 right? i wonder why the latest firmware v4.0632.0.38 's 0.38 is a number that b4 v4.0632.0.42 ?i tot the number will be like after 0.42...will be 0.43,0.44,0.45 etc....anyone knows why?thanks for answer my stupid question... Added on March 2, 2007, 11:49 am QUOTE(bububang @ Mar 2 2007, 10:39 AM) My suggestion would be going for whichever cheaper. If N80 is cheaper then u buy N80 and upgrade the firmware to N80i. If N80i is cheaper then just buy N80i and start enjoying This post has been edited by Survivor: Mar 2 2007, 11:49 AM |

QUOTE(bububang @ Mar 11 2007, 08:38 PM) Due to several requests for the N80 potina bronze signature, I've created a new signature for the potina bronze N80 user. You can find the signature on the first post. QUOTE(bububang @ Mar 12 2007, 10:51 AM) I do not understand your question. Do you mean the actual description of the "black" color that N80 has? Frankly I do not know, even the Nokia N-series website didn't tell us that, they only has the color display only, no description. Does it really matters what kinda black it is? Let me clarify this on the signature...I created 3 N80 signature: black, silver and bronze , to try to suit everyone's need. If your N80 is BLACK, whether it is pearl black or piano black or whatever black, IT IS BLACK, so you are free to use the BLACK signature. But of cause if u think the BLACK signature is not specify enough to describe the black color of your N80, you are free to create one which is specific enough |

Some new phone software updates here for all N80 owners:
Nokia Time Zone Upgrader Click Here to download! The date of the "Daylight saving time" will be changing in certain countries during 2007. This application updates database in the device containing the daylight saving time dates. This will help e.g. in avoiding a conflict in calendar synchronization if the device and PC are having a different time. Please restart your device after installation for the changes to take effect. Barcode Reader Click Here to download! The Barcode reader application is used for decoding different types of codes (for example, barcodes and codes in magazines). The codes may contain different kinds of information, such as URL links, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers. Before scanning a code, depending on the type of the camera in your device, turn the close-up switch of the camera to close-up mode when scanning the code. To scan a code, select Scan code. Set the code between the red lines on the display. The Barcode reader scans and decodes the code, and the decoded information appears on the display. A reminder to all N80 users: Always check post#1 because it will be updated frequently by me on latest N80 information, softwares, firmware, etc...a good way to skip all 50+ pages to look for your answer
A feedback on the barcode reader software. I've installed it in my N80 and I found it can only read this kind of barcode but not this kind . You guys after installed the barcode reader software on ur N80 are free to check out what information is embedded in the squarish barcode I think the barcode reader is only for the so call QRcode (the squarish one) but not the "bar"code. This is a good site to generate your own QRcode - KAYWA. Enjoy guys! This post has been edited by Survivor: Mar 21 2007, 11:15 PM |

QUOTE(-vip3rleon9- @ Mar 22 2007, 04:45 PM) umm.. well.. what brand is your memory card? it plays a major role in the time taken to access data on your card. I second to that. I am lucky to purchase a good quality 2G OEM miniSD (without brand) from one of the LYN forumer before. It has serve my N80 without failure and with lightening speed |

QUOTE(vampiric @ Mar 24 2007, 02:44 PM) Pengster, thanks for the stat. Guys,It shown that the 2GB Adata is slower than DNA. on phone it only hit 700++kb. Your card reader is very fast, compare with mine. But still couldn't find the higher speed(bottleneck) on phone. Let's see others result. I have my data up too. My 2G miniSD doesn't has a brand, it is an OEM miniSD. I don't actually know how to read those information. vampiric, do you mind to elaborate? thanks N80 ![]() Card Reader ![]() This post has been edited by Survivor: Mar 25 2007, 01:04 AM |

QUOTE(vampiric @ Mar 26 2007, 10:54 AM) Survivor, it does matter when u experience a lag. hehe...I think you misunderstood what i meant...i didn't know that the card speed will determine how your phone perform during the time i purchase the miniSD, I only go for the capacity spec, little did i know anything about the speed. But it turned out that I bought myself a fairly speedy card My lag to certain folder can up to 10 sec or more. It's a nitemare. |
