That's because most probably they stopped screwing HTTPS connections for the moment being. No errors today either (on my monitoring). Seems to have stopped for now... hmm.gif

(Speculated) They could be using protocol inspection shaper to "jam" torrent connections (from outside).. tongue.gif

Lucky you. Mine is the opposite of yours. No International peers, even Locals just can't connect. Had to depend on DHT. FTP just below 5kbs. IRC..worst below 2kbs, HttP download below 6kbs..depending on servers. Even Browsing is slow at the moment. I want back the good old times TM!!!

I am downloading songs using BitComet and it's been more than 2 weeks since I last downloaded anything via Torrent. Wanted to try it out and I managed to get from 25-31 Kbps. Not bad I would say. BTW, why is it all Local (Initiation) and no Remote? Does that mean my seeds are all from Malaysia? sweat.gif

Local means you initated the connection handshake (connected to) them. Remote means they connected to you. It doesn't really matter, since if you connect to them or they connect to you, since you get connected either way. smile.gif

but never reach 50 or 60 which is my max

i'm having same problem as you, but my DL range is much smaller laugh.gif laugh.gif

40+ seeds and 30+ peers but DL speed ranging from 6-30kbs ( 3 tasks combined, all fresh torrents released yesterday ).

TMNutz shaper is cutting off all international connections. You can see the peer (in the peer list from tracker or from DHT) but you cannot connect to it, or the peer cannot connect to you...

I think most communications are using DHT. That would explain the slow speeds (often less then 1KB/s) in both mule and BT hmm.gif

something like this?

http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5296/untitled7px.jpg

Speed sucks ( normal -.- ) but at least never blocked or having problem to connect. and it seems that torrents are sucking 80% of my bandwidth ... when torrents are up, can't login to online games, even with servers hosted in Malaysia , MIRC DCC send file keep on timing out ( even a 2.5mb file is keeping me glued to my PC for 3 hours ) . Web browsing at times smooth, at times need to refresh the page a few times before it loads.

jubz, for your solution of torrents sucking up your bandwidth = limit your torrent client upload (and download) speed. If you noticed my graphs, I only limit to 35%~75% download and 33% upload.. That way I can surf and play while downloading/uploading. tongue.gif

already capped global UL rate at 25.0kb/s ( should be ok for 512 package user like me ) ; DL rate uncapped as it won't shoot past 40kb/s. laugh.gif laugh.gif anyways i was wondering what else factor that is affecting my DLs other than TM throttling and the earthquake <--- no longer seem like a valid 'excuse' for me ... read somewhere about TCP limitations in WinXP SP2 but have no idea what is that. sweat.gif sweat.gif
