i thought it is depending on how many seeders ?
mine getting 400kbps all the time....

from Klang Lama Happy Garden , using rm66 package !

1)*try limiting till 10kbps on your upload bar*

2)*limit the upload to <50kbps*
*from time to time, reduced it to 40 then 30 then 10 then 3*
*your download speed drop very less onli !!! *

Your "trick" will cause you to download slower as time comes when everyone limits their upload at 3kb/s. shakehead.gif

You're clever. doh.gif

Same area here (or very near). I had also encountered this rare spikes where it jumped to 170~kb/s, and plummel down back.

Of course if a good proxy came online and I use it, I can achieve those speed at almost a constant rate. Though proxies do not last long >_<, might need to subscribe to Secure-Tunnel soon.

Currently BT speeds are jumping from 20kb/s to 60kb/s. Averaging usually around the 40kb/s mark.

Some, very few international peers speed are going through, I can say around 3 to 5 of them, and the rest all stuck in zero. Still majority of the speed are coming from Local IP. Yes local ppl, seed or die biggrin.gif I generally hate leechers as well... all they think about is their dl speed, could care less about their ul. I have already uploaded ~170GBs since throttling period. That is more or less around 2 months, so averaging 85GB UL a month. If TMNet put higher upload speed for me then I can upload more, too bad I am stuck at 30ish kb/s upload only. Hiking it above 35 cripple my whole connection >_<

It's pretty lame to see these kind of lines
"Limit your upload speed below XXkb/s and you will be fine"
Those genius thought that will make the dl speed faster...

This happened all the time in chinese.cXXi forum.
And there all so lots of genius thought that they tarak kena limit and just assume that tmnets never throttled p2p..
They do nothing to help the throttled user, even worst they tease them, says that it's our own problems like windows/client setting got prob la yadayada..
I'm looking foward to see this line from them.
"FXXKING streamyx throttled my line"
Then...teasing time xD

I hope TM Net throttles Klang Lama Happy Garden so you'll get 3kbps download.

less than 5kB/s for the past week; only picks up speeds to 40kB/s when there are local seeds and the torrent is popular.

Another typical selfish leecher, kedekut type who only knows how to take but not give back.

Why so stingy about your upload bandwidth, if you are not doing web conferencing, FTP uploads, etc, the bandwidth are not even halfed utilized.

Do you actually know that your upload bandwidth and download bandwidth are different? You might download at full 1mbps but you can still upload at the max 384kbps at the same time. Or to make it easy, however much you upload does not affect your download speed

Actually it does. That is why upload max must be set at 80% of your upload speed. So a 512/256 kbps connection must set upload max at 176-200 kbps or 22-25 kBps. If your upload max is above this then your download speed will be affected.

The reason is because there is overhead for the TCP/IP protocol and the PPPOE encapsulation. Also, your pc needs the space left over in the upload to send ACK signals to confirm download otherwise you'll end up downloading extra data just because ACK could not be sent due to the upload had been maxed out for bittorrent upload.

Remember 80% of your upload only.
