What happens if my SIM Validity (Account Validity) has expired but my data plan is still valid?
Should your SIM Validity (Account Validity) expire before your data plan, your SIM validity will be extended to match the validity of your data plan. Please refer to the illustration below.

What happens if my Credit Validity has expired but the data plan is still valid?
If your Credit Validity has expired, all outbound services will be suspended, including Voice, SMS and MMS. However, the data plan is still valid.

There are two types of validity

Account validity and credit validity

Credit validity allows you to make calls and SMS

This is better known as top up validity

Account validity refers to how long your SIM card can last before expire

So if you top up rm 10 but buy 1gb data, you can only make calls for 20 days but you can online for 3 months

I subscribed 1GB data plan on between 15th May and in picture, and valid till 13th Aug and so is my credit validity.
2nd picture shows that I topup just yesterday and it still shows my balance valid till 13/08.

PPU is actually good got those who use internet less frequent

Altel ppu is quite decent, just few cents/mb

But celcom and digi beware, eat rm10/rm8 in an instant

IMHO, 5 sen per MB ppu tariff is very reasonable. That's 10MB for 50 sen .... compared to the much outdated ppu for the big three which as of today is still 50 sen for 50KB. For intermittent usage throughout a month, 5 sen per MB can be cost effective.

Altel's data pricing is competitive for the smaller volume up to 2GB with 90days extended validity but not so much for bigger data volume. I'm on Altel for nearly a year and primarily use it for FAST downloads. Altel consistently gives fastest and stable downloads anytime of the day in my area (compared to the big three which I also have).

ALTEL got anyhow to check the credit balance without having the physical SIMCARD or phone?
Like Celcom, we could login to their website to check.

Thx.
