I have been following this thread and I find it amusing that some people are very obsessed with finding that perfect water filter for almost 100% clean water and some even for added alkaline and RO and other so called technology. And there are also arguments over the effectiveness of these things.

Bear in mind that we only need to drink clean water in adequate amounts to stay healthy. And by saying clean I do not mean totally free of contaminants. It will be good if the water contains small amounts of biological contaminants (eg.bacteria) for our bodies to build up the immune system. If the water that we consume is too clean, our bodies will not have a chance to be exposed to germs to build up the immunity.

And for those filters that use infra-red as a selling point, there is a cheaper way to kill germs: just boil the water.

I do have a POE and Aquaphor filter but I am not too concerned about them filtering out 100% of the contaminants. As long as they filter out most of the dirt, I am fine with it.

I am posting this because I find some people are too fussy about a water filter.
My advise is, just get one that does the basic function of filtering the water. After all, all our bodies require is natural clean water without added alkali, oxygen, and what not.

This is just my 2 cents. You are free to disagree but I hope it can help those who are spending a lot of time looking for that perfect filter.

Do you have any source/study to support your believe?
Exposing to germs don't build up immunity, our intestine are all time full of germs/bacteria.

Dude, do you know the concept of immunization? It is to introduce weakened pathogens into our bodies so that they have the chance to build up the immunity against them. Our immune system only builds up the antibodies when they come into contact with a particular pathogen.
The bacteria in our guts that you are talking about are called probiotics. They are good bacteria that aids digestion and immunity. Not disease bearing bacteria.

But anyway, if you want proof to my believes, you can always google "Consequences of being too clean'.
Below are some to help get you started:

So you are saying that sometimes we introduce rotavirus or E. coli to our body is good to boost the immunization?
Thanks for the new information about this, learned something new today biggrin.gif

Seriously dude, u do not have any ideas about vaccination? U seriously lack general knowledge.
Go search up vaccination on rotavirus. Or rather, just search up vaccination in general.
There are pathogens that can be vaccinated and there are those that cannot be vaccinated against such as HIV.
Anyway no point talking to a person with such narrow knowledge such as you. I will end up having to explain everything from A to Z.
Just go do yr research before trying to start an argument.

By the way, please read up on rotavirus vaccination and take note of the meaning of attenuated virus.

Please do not try to be a smarty pants if u hv very little or no knowledge. It only shows yr shallowness.
