3M HCD-2 - now both same price due to merdeka promo, less than 3K now. which one is better/reliable/easy service I very pening with so many filters, want to get something simple
Hi can share the link? Im also looking at tankless direct water filter like this.
You will most probably not find NSF cert faucet of normal size. Only drinking faucets.
Things you need to consider:
1. Lead free. 2. No plastic elements inside (ceramic is used in high quality ones) 3. No rubber tubes etc of low quality (sometimes the faucet is great, but the tube is from a low quality supplier 4. No toxic grease. You will smell/taste that right away.
In US a lot of people drink straight from it, but that is because they have no choice in rented apartments.
So any conclusion? What did you choose Aqua, Toray, Pana, Waterco ?
Since will boiled then drink, so am considering 3M CTM-02. Anyone has used this before kindly comment on the taste of water. Also, can a prefilter prolong the life of its cartridge ? Thanks all shifusssss....
And with 3M CTM-02, I will not need to consider whether my faucet is NSF or not, as the water come out from the filter's faucet...

I also cant decide between lg puricare and coway kecil. Kinda huge discount for this merdeka promo, but not sure how is LG's after sale service. As for the yearly maintenance package, rm500 seems to be the cheapest among cuckoo, jiksoo and coway. One thing I haven study is the certification. Maybe any sifu can shed some lights.

Glad to hear this, i didnt know 500 considered cheapest already
One thing to take note is 3M HCD2 can self service as this merdeka promo they are giving 4 free filter replacement
LG told me that if we perform self service then warranty is void
LG 500 p.a. Including 4 times service , filter replacement and internal piping replacement

By adding a good 1μ(micron) polyester sediment pre-filter will definitely help if your incoming water are dirtier than usual.
For a cheaper option of ~Rm300+ (if it's still available) read Below quote of previous post from aeiou228 "This is a new counter top design, can't use it for undersink installation. Sharing the same 3M NSF certified C Complete cartridge as in AP Easy Complete. If you want cheaper option and undersink installation, go for the RM350 3M CTM-01. After one year usage, replace the cartridge with C Complete. You will get same water quality as in CTM-02"
I am looking for an instant hot water dispenser to go with eSpring. I know amway has a bundle package that comes with Richard Morphy water dispenser. Am looking for alternatives as the one by Richard Morphy seems kinda bulky. Looking for quality ones... Price is not an issue.
Anyone can recommend?

Do u think LG Puricare is worth buying? It’s filter n dispenser all in one. I couldn’t find its NSF certification on NSF website. But someone in here said it has 3 NSF certifications.

Nope Lg puricare got no nsf certification. If you really need to have instant hot/cold, it's just slightly convenience than pouring from a thermos.

You are comparing 4500RM to 400RM product. It has no NSF, NSF certifying the dispenser would cost millions and take years. Maybe, just maybe, cartridges are NSF cert. But if you need cold+hot dispenser with built in filter and do not mind to spend 4500 (sometimes less with offers) then LG is a good choice.
Honestly, I would not get Xiaomi, but this is just me. Remember their business model - make really cheap things by cutting corners here and there, but keeping overall quality good. I really don't mind buying their phone or router or vacuum robot, but when it comes down to anything you consume (food, water), I always wonder where they cut the corners. But again this is my personal opinion.

I understand your point on Xiaomi and I fully agree. I m sceptical too bout their quality.
I oso understand NSF cert is on filter, not dispenser.
But if I am to get a hot water dispenser to pair with eSpring, is there any reliable one out there? I dun need cold water but I need hot water.

Don't think xiaomi is about cutting corners.. it's about giving the best quality for the target price range.. same as proton cars aren't about cutting corners they just skip the pricier options but equally safe for the most part, and no one would comment they cut corners to push out a cheaper car. .
