Reason most skeptical people avoid company such like Amway or Elken or Tupperware (well these companies sell via Direct Selling method) is because the commission scheme is transparent to the member/agent /consumer.
Why traditional retail business model people dont have this mindset? because customer didn't know the product actual markup percentage.
Try ask few of the reseller here. See they willing to tell you their profit margin or not. There are few reseller are LYN member that sell in brick and mortal shop and Lazada/Shopee too.

Bonus info: out of surprise, I quick Google DSAM (Direct Selling Association Malaysia) member list and looks who I found? I found Coway, Cuckoo, and LG Puricare too.
So why buy from other agents when you can buy from yourself to get cheaper after joining become a sales agent. Interesting right?

Simply because for a rice cooker, Onking sell rm100 more than Aeon.
