3M DWS 2500 vs aquaphor crystal eco which one is better?

They are like twin brothers. Choose based on cost and whether you need NSF or European/Russian certs are good enough.

If you can afford Rm3.5k+, better top up slightly for espring.
No brainer or maybe you like their design & instant hot/cold function

Hi All, would like to get your opinion, moving to a new place soon, would like to get a filter that can provide drinking water from tap (I dont mind boiling it, budget <rm300.)
1. landed or condo? Condo
2. how many pax in your household? 2
3. got senior / babies / people with disease like kidney failure for example in the house? No
4. can you able to do some small DIY installing yourself or not? (like replacement filter yourself?) Yes
5. how much u afford to installment per month for at least 5 years? 50/mth or 100/mth or 150/mth? I try not to go installment
6. or do u prefer 1-time off purchase? below 1k or 2k or 3k? Budget limited to Rm300
7. do you own external water filter yet? No
8. hot/water function is it a must for you? will you willing to fork out another RM50/mth electricity bill for the feature? or you just stick with thermal pot + fridge cold water? I have thermal pot.

Hi all the sifu here, looking for a budget setup purely to remove chlorine.

Plan to hook 3-4 single filters ( those RM40-50 housing) but not sure what are the good cartridge to use.

Surveyed couple brands like Matrikx Gen Air CTO but actual effectiveness unknown.

It's for changing fishes water, current routine is too tedious because constantly need fill up the bucket + put anti chlorine x 5-6 times and take the water out cup by cup..(betta....).

General purpose > tap water in > chlorine free water come out instantly thumbup.gif cause if even a bit of chlorine then fishes will get sick. Help please icon_question.gif if got any sifu here.

Budget bout RM300-400 for the whole set.

Can use double filtration, one for sediment (1micron pleated) another use carbon block (0.5micron). Definitely great for your fishes and can even drink after boiling.

Thanks sifu, do you have any good brands to recommend? I'm drowned in shopee listing hahaha. is it always the lowest micron + higher price = better?

As I know, NSF + WQA certified are better but rarely saw them under 5 micron. lost in a sea of information.

Thought it's for your fishes. Your fishes needs certified water filter? 🤣😂😅
Anyway, from your budget, you can have a certified filter cartridges only but with cheap housing.

Then buy a cheap double housing countertop filter and change the filter cartridges to a certified sediment and carbon bolck.
Cost will be ~Rm100 - Rm150 for housing and ~Rm150 for both filter cartridges.

What do you mean by "general effectiveness unknown"? Each respectable brand will have product specification with % removal etc and it is quite accurate.

Good info. That's a good water filter for below Rm3K after trade-in with old filter. Is it for the old espring or for any type of filter system?
I presume it's for member price?
What's the water flow rate like (L/min)?

Yeah. Any brand worth from RM500.
When you purchase eSpring, you will entitled for a member account already.
It's really worth to change now , if you planning to switch.

Seldom ppl ask for flow rate like you, but here you go,
3.4 lpm (0.9 gpm) at 60 psi water pressure with new filter element.
Flow rate will vary directly with water pressure and length of time filter element has been in service.

Any question, can pm me icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks for the info.
Reason for the question of flow rate. We are cooking frequently, boiling big pot of soup and sometimes making juices.
With the rinsing/soaking of the ingredients prior to cooking, it take quite a while to fill up the pot of water.
Hence it's not just for drinking only.

What's your actual water flow rate like after a few months(~3 or 4 months)?

No idea bro..

I just got it recently also..

After comparison vs other brands, choose espring due to the lower cost in the long run and its certify by nsf..
