how can 1 carbon filter can remove 140 contaminants...very easy ???

and others brand use many many filter????
*
The technology developed by Amway is different from others. Hence one carbon filter is enough while other makers need few filters, and still not able to filter 140 contaminants.

I do not know in details how it can filter the contaminants other than what I have explained to you, but the important thing is it is proven and certified by NSF (3rd party non-profit organisation) that it can filter the stated 140 contaminants effectively. How the technology was developed? Sorry to say I am not one of the scientists who made it.

If you are still skeptical, please find more information on the internet.

"Tested in accordance with NSF/ANSI Standard 42 and 53*"

This model is only TESTED according to NSF Standard 42 & 53, it is NOT CERTIFIED by NSF standard 42 & 53.

Your link is correct. Hence if you try to find it by model, it is not on the website.

*
As I have not used it myself, I cannot give any comment on the safety. However it is best to find a water filter which is certified by NSF / WQA.

but...another problem is....the hot water....is cook repeatedly ....
*
Correct me if I am wrong, I believe the water is boiled and kept at the same temperature throughout the day.

Another thing you might want to consider is cleaning the water tank. Over time it will get dirty inside and you need to clean it.

So my advice to my customers is if hot water is really a must, use a separate boiler. That way you can see inside the boiler and clean it when it is dirty.

Lastly, ask yourself, how much hot water do you need per day? Do you really need the hot and cold function?

So the question is why are you buying a water filter? For aesthetic look or for clean water?

Hi everyone, after some research i plan to buy Amway espring water filter.
Can anyone advise me pro and con of this device?
I saw many ppl selling out their used Espring so im abit concern...
*
Pros:
- Able to filter 140 contaminants
- certified by NSF 42, 53, 55 401
- Worry free (if it is faulty, it will blink and beep; if cartridge needs to change, it will also blink and beep)
- Record the usage (each cartridge can filter 5000 litres)
- Low maintenance (only need to change the cartridge)
- One cartridge member price is RM583 (RM583 / 5000 litre = RM0.12/litre)
- This month got trade-in program where you can get a rebate of RM400

Cons:
- High initial investment (you can opt for 12 months 0% installment plan)

May I know how to install the amway espring diverter valve with Ikea RINGSKÄR tap.

the Ikea tap have the inner gear and it is smaller than other tap size.

I have also bought the connector and it is too big for Ikea tap.

Where can I have the adapter that fit with ikea tap and amway connector?
*
Is this the adapter you are using?
eSpring Threaded Adapter

If that can't be use, you might need to use eSpring Universal Adapter.

Please contact the person who sold eSpring to you. He / she should be able to help you with installing eSpring.

QUOTE(fireballs @ May 16 2017, 11:33 PM)
of course. just that i believe its better to leave the amway filter as clean as possible.
use an external pp/ceramic to filter the bigger particles

but then again... espring got smartchip lock.. want to prolong the life of the filter also no use.
*
eSpring smart chip is a recorder to tell you how much water you have filtered and used. It will start beeping and blinking when it had filtered 5000 litres. However that does not mean water can no longer flows out of eSpring. If you think adding an external water filter can prolong the cartridge's life, you can still continue to use it. When you turn on the tap water will still comes out of eSpring (just ignore the beeping and blinking). But please bare in mind that the efficiency is not 100% and there is risk that some contaminants will not be filtered. The activated carbon and UV light are designed to filter water efficiently up to 5000 litres.

Think of it this way: Our cars need to change the engine oil after running 5000km. We can add some 'cleaning oil' in the petrol to clean the engine to maintain the car's efficiency. We can still drive our car after 5000km, but how sure are we that the car will not give any problem after that? The engine oil is developed and design to lubricate the engine after running 5000km. If we drive more than that without changing the engine oil, we will bare the risk that the car will have problem.

As long as it is not blinking red and beeping, you can still continue to use it.

QUOTE(joeblow @ Aug 14 2017, 12:24 PM)
Hi guys,

Need some help here. I am currently staying in a condo using an old Amway water filter (the one with UV light and coming to end of life). I will need to buy a completely new if I need to change. There is a cheap external filter that's installed to the meter outside my unit.

1. Is the external filter (small cheap one attached to the input) useless? Personally I think it is useless because I am staying in a condo. Need expert opinion here.

2. Have you guys heard of the Intact brand? Saw it in one of the Juscos, but I have not seen the review of it in this thread.

Edited thread due to just realized eSpring is Amway... my bad...

Need to look for a water filter system (internal) that's good for condo use. Any good advises welcomed! Thanks.
*
Sorry but I am a little confused... What do you mean that your existing eSpring is coming to the end of life and you need to find a new one? Why not just replace the cartridge?

QUOTE(exshige @ Sep 18 2017, 11:00 AM)
asking for anyone that using Amway E-spring filter. Currently my filter is put on counter top. i intending to put below sink.

So i bought a filter tap that accept a very small tube..  but my espring outlet hose (filtered water from espring) is bigger size and is kind of unique size.

i went to a few hardware shop.. they say everywhere they only sell 2 sizes only. 1 big 1 small.

the big one matches the E-spring raw water tube. and the small one matches the filter tap. but my e-spring filtered water  tube is somewhat in between this 2 size.

i'm trying to find a thing (a connector or converter) that can convert the size.

anyone got such experience?
*
I tried to find for it before but failed. Would like to know if anyone knows of a suitable connector / converter.

Also, eSpring has its own specially designed faucet for below sink installation. Why didn't you use that?

CERTIFICATES FOR AQUAPHOR (LGA-Germany) AND LABTEST in malaysia
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

For those who really spend hours reading previous thread will find a lot of my videos and postings on how i reply back to competitors queries with supporting facts and even website links, that is why people like lostandfoundlove agree i have nothing to hide, i even cut open my product to show. While many brands just boast on their products but if u cut it up, it is just a tiny carbon block or even worst just granular carbon.
*
Good to see that Aquaphor has a lot of test done with certification.

But I have a question, how much water was tested to get the result? Cause some filters may be very effective in filtering the contaminants when the cartridge is new but it will be less effective after filtering a certain amount of water.

Regarding the carbon filter, I agree that many filters in the market is just granular carbon which really is not a good for filtering water, which is why consumers need to do their research correctly to find a solid carbon block that is certified to filter contaminants effectively throughout the carbon filter's life span.

For our local labtest, it was tested after 6 months of usage.

In Russia, they do have their own endurance test report like this. Most reports are in Russian as shown the LGA report as well.

It is a good filter. Got NSF, UV bla bla bla... I leave all the good features for the agent to reply and since agent wouldn't tell you the disadvantages, I can share some with you.
1) High cartridge replacement cost. (This is subjective, maybe you don't mind)
2) Require power point to operate.
3) Electronic PCB board. Risk of PCB failure due to power surge. ( Replacement cost RM630 been there done that)
4) Annoying beeps reminding you to replace cartridge, sometimes earlier than expected. I wonder how on earth the machine knows the cartridge is dirty. (This is subjective, some prefer to be reminded for cartridge change)
4) Unsightly counter top placement with bulky faucet diverter valve and messy tubing. You have the option to do undersinnk installation but the special auxiliary faucet for undersink installation is quite pricey (few hundred RM).
*
Just to clarify:
1. RM572 (member price). Replace after filtered 5000 liters or one year.
2. Yes, for it's UV light.
3. This is subjective. My customers and my unit did not faced this issue before after using for >10 years. Power surge may due to unstable power supply at your home and it may damage any other home appliances as well. Not just eSpring.
4. Once 5000 liters water is filtered or after 1 year, it will beep to remind you to replace the cartridge to ensure the water you are drinking is clean. There is a chip inside the cartridge that records how much water is filtered. The UV light and carbon filtered is designed to have a life time of 5000 liter or 1 year. You may turn off the power so there is no beeping but it cannot guarantees safe, clean drinking water anymore.
5. Messy tubing should be installed neatly by the seller. The under sink faucet is RM284.60

QUOTE(airtawarian @ Mar 15 2021, 09:27 PM)
Can kill all bacteria virus cyst microorganism etc? If got kidney issue old ppl low immune system the best? Also If Body got more high level of lactic acid. Which to choose?
*
Someone shared the contaminant list here. You can have a look at what contaminants are proven to be reduced. eSpring is also the only water filter who list out what contaminants it can filter in black and white.

Please note that no one can say their water filter can kill 100% of viruses and bacteria because there are just too many in the world and it is always evolving. But as long as the viruses and bacteria are vulnerable to UV, there should not be any issue. Just think of how hospitals use UV light to sterelise the surgery tools.

eSpring just gives consumers a clean water while conserving its natural minerals and filter out contaminants / kills bacteria and viruses. It will not 'burden' our own kidneys to filter the contaminants and avoid any infection of bacteria and viruses from the water.

If old people has low immune system or anyone who has high level of lactic acid, a healthy balanced diet and exercise will be more efficient.

Assuming you're asking about lactic acid because people say drinking alkaline water can reduce acid in the body, just to share:
- our body absorbs water from the small intestine
- before water reaches the small intestine, it must pass through our stomach which has gastric acid
- no matter what we eat or drink, our stomach will maintain its acidity so that we can digest food and kills bacteria / viruses
- drinking alkaline water will only cause more work for the stomach to produce more gastric acid to maintain its acidity, it will not affect the acidity in our blood / body
