As topic, I would love to hear to opinions and recommendations.

I am standing at 170cm and currently aged 28. I had come late to realize my height is only considered average for Malaysia male. Even girls nowadays are standing as tall as 167 at average that makes me felt myself short.

I work at a banking enviroment and realized a lot of high management level are always standing as tall as 180 or above. That even made me felt worse, as if I am a drwaf.

To be a short guy really kills my self esteem, and I seriously felt the need to undergo leg lengthening operation to gain extra inches.

Any one had undergo such operations? any professional doctors to recommend?

Usually whats the cost here in Malaysia?

I thought you were having some problems with your body posture etc that caused the 'shortness' but really, 170cm is short? lol. I'm 172cm, what should that make me of?

if you are talking about the leg lengthening that breaks ur bone in your leg and forces them to regrow longer, dont do it. the cons apparently is more serious than that self confidence u gained for that 10cm

yup sunway medical, did around 15k-30k.... but bed rest for 6-7 months. he did in January. Till now he can't walk up stairs, he move on wheelchair and walk with the frame(walker)

the fact that you're breaking your bone just to insert a prosthetic implant kind of speaks for its con. Unless you've suffered severe arthritis (or something equivalent) that requires a TKR , then yea it's a necessity . But if you ask me, there's no benefits in doing a leg lengthening apart from self satisfaction.

170cm is not short height. You should meet hypnotists for counseling and some confidence hypnosis instead of surgeon.

How long it takes for ur dad to fully recover? Can he walk and run like normal now? After the lengthening process can he works like normal with that metal things on leg? Thanks
