item: vf-1s with strike pack
from: hlj

received 2day, inspect my vf-1s...bugger, is broken!!!

it is an internal part, definately is not a 'damage in shipment'

tat part no need to use force to move, definately not my fault either as i never apply brute force.

emailed to hlj to complaint...will update their respond.

really my UNLUCKY day vmad.gif .... sux by kastam, now a broken kit pulak... rclxub.gif

hey correct me if i wrong..but it the same transform like other valkyries 1/48 rite? where the arms must be forced cos sumthing block around the circle...

i assumed that you think this is the defect. Same as mine at first but yeah it must be forced to pass through the block. It hard at first but when after couple times transformed it come a bit easy..but still at first this is scary lor...afraid might break it

you can check how to transform for valkyrie at youtube, collectiondx homepage

I saw some new Roy/Rick toy from Bandai at XL shop.. this one is a new release? My old brother dont like this much, cos he saw some steel panel/stuff at side of both legs..make this one a bit..ugly? blink.gif

I think it look nice..although it look kinda wide/fat when in Battroid mode

Yeah Yamato isnt gonna make macross anymore =(

Bandai's Macross are questionable. Still prefer Yamato although they are flimsy.

bandai seem a little kiddy.
*
So new VF-1S 1/60 with strike parts is among last products by Yamato eh?

Better get YF-21 before it too late.. biggrin.gif

yup old old models of Bandai all not so good! But this 5 years time, Bandai has greatly improve their model kits line, u can see so in their Gundam kits, like how magnificent the Zeta v2.0 and the latest Gundam v2.0 and Zaku 2.0 has become.
*
im also collect SOC and some model kit from Bandai..but not being fan favorite for one version only, sometimes i do miss certain products/news..so Roy Forker from XL shop is old one?

say..holyground blog is urs?

Hi..i like to start collecting macross item because i like this anime since 1980's. I found that Yamato have a lot of model, can anyone suggest which scale are better? 1/48 or 1/60

i like to have VF-1J Hijaru first!

Tq
*
Better get VF-1J scale 1/60 next month..better articulation, great paint job and nice box set too smile.gif that is if you like bigger, go get 1/48..cost more or less RM120, but still great too..
personally i think 1/48 looks a bit stiff when comes how you want to pose this, look like statue in Battroid mode

Yeah.. i think i will wait the 1/60 VF-1J Hikaru next month...

I will post my collection pics soon....
*
CollectionDX already upload their new macross video review..Hikaru too, but this is VF-1A biggrin.gif

want to grab VF-1J too, but my wallet just slapped my face and give me some serious warning if i buy more.. shakehead.gif maybe after recover money after me bought VF-1S, yes?

As for compare size..don't have the 1/48 scale, but it should as tall as the other valkyries.. then again this is roy focker compare to VF-0S..

CJ..any source side by side comparing 1/60 and 1/48 VF-1S??
should be 1/60 and w/out strike part..RM360 with strike parts is damn cheap
*
well there some improve on articulation..such as the elbow on the 1/48 only limited to 90 degrees, but the 1/60 can pull upwards to the max...even can touch the upper shoulder..thus various poses can be made, yes? yeah and the legs also.. biggrin.gif
also there some notable improvement by clicking the center metal to the nose cone..oh the metal plate where nose cone to place/remove is welcome too rclxms.gif
you will be pleased that a lot of nice pegs on 1/60..make this one a lot sturdier, can fly this thing around nicely..though i wish the were 'clicky' part on the wings
since collected 1/48 before, personally my first impression for this scale kinda..meh or 'alaa keciknya' but trust me..you will grow to like it.. tongue.gif but then again its your choice yes?

you can check Graham review on macrosswrold.com as well.. icon_rolleyes.gif

1/60 and 1/48..wonder these are anime accurate or compare to real jet yeah?if so then VF-1 1/60 ver2 jet really small when compare other 1/60 valkyries..depend if the jets exist lor..

The toys are scaled based on their real size in anime.... according to the specs, here: Macross Mecha Manual, the VF-1 valks are one of the smallest of the valks, even shorter than our real F-15 Eagle.. doesnt look good when compared to other 1/60 valk toys that are bigger, but hey, we cant fight with official specs! wink.gif hehe
*
no wonder the pilot, Roy is as big as Isamu tongue.gif still..like the previos post said the pilot is still big the same like 1/48..lol biggrin.gif

even so i heard most jets are based on real thing yes?just wonder if YF-21 flies along with VF-1S..

hmm about the pin inside the hinge..i'm also read posts from macrossworld.com, some folks also had the same problem..when lift up the shoulder plate, it only limited at 90 degree. Don't force it ..other wise there will possibly end up crack at the end of shoulder plate
