Model kits from Bandai and Hasegawa are quite affordable. Priced between HG and MG for the Gundams....
Jason
however for YAMATOs, it could range from rm400 and above.Jason

well if expensive you can just wait for the bandai version quite cheap and also tranformable (need to swap parts) other than that is good. btw Does anyone got news from yamato they got research and produce VF25 bo? or just only bandai? This post has been edited by chriswoo: Apr 21 2008, 04:58 PM |

Cannot really see any improvements over the 1/48 from the pics, thought the fingers were articulated but I was wrong. Any reviews of the toy out there?

QUOTE(m4xspeed @ Apr 26 2008, 06:46 PM) Actually I am also guilty of OT posts myself. So I am a pot calling a kettle black. Been searching for preproduction reviews of the upcoming Yamato 1/60 VF-1S, but have not found any. So if anyone comes across one, then pls share here. Saw BBTS accepting preorders for it USD154.99 Jason This post has been edited by jasonlky: Apr 28 2008, 12:12 PM |

well actually..
mospeada is not related to macross..same goes with southern cross... all three are independent series in Japan..and when Harmony Gold want to air Macross in the US, the series must be more than 50 episode more or something like that...so they buy southern cross & mospeada..crop them all up, change the storyline & dialogs and TADAAAA....a pot of gold for Harmony Gold in a name of Robotech... in Robotech, Macross storyline isn't too different from their japanese counterpart..but the other two got so many changes to fit in the robotech saga... so in my opinion all three series are not related in the 1st place... QUOTE("Wiki") Robotech was one of the first series released in the United States which attempted to include most of the complexity and drama of its original Japanese source material. Produced by Harmony Gold USA, Inc. in association with Tatsunoko Prod. Co., Ltd., Robotech is a story adapted with edited content and revised dialogue from the animation of three different mecha anime series: The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada. Harmony Gold's cited reasoning for combining these unrelated series was its decision to market Macross for American weekday syndication television, which required a minimum of 65 episodes at the time (thirteen weeks at five episodes per week). Macross and the two other series each had fewer episodes than required, since they originally aired in Japan as weekly series. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robotechand BTW this is a macross thread...not robotech thread just my 2cents |
