u mean new vf0s or vf1s?

here a little guide
older VF-1 DYRL 1/60 - non perfect transformation
new VF-1 DYRL 1/60 (coming out this year) - perfect transformation
Macross zero VF-0 & SV-51 1/60 - perfect transformation

1/72 and 1/60 macross plus also can consider perfect transformation as no need to detach anything to transform...correct me if i'm wrong... smile.gif

1/60 Macross Plus and Macross Zero are all perfect transformation. The 1/60 YF19 is really good but the fins are a bit fragile, now waiting for 1/60 YF-21. The old 1/72 is perfect transformation also and its an OK toy to collect. I find it small and the plastic is a bit fragile. Early versions have a lot of QC problems especially with the paint. Later versions are much better in this aspect. But why bother with this when Yamato is releasing an all new 1/60 scale? Just hoe the QC at the China plant don't let it down.

yeah espeacially he 1/72 VF-11B..mine broke off at the hip.. mad.gif
and jason, really yamato are planning to make a 1/60 VF-11B?
ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.......... drool.gif drool.gif

1) yamato 1/48 VF-1S 25th anniversary
2) yamato 1/60 VF-1S roy folker super strike valkyrie
3) yamato perfect transformation 1/60 or 1/48 roy folker valkyrie which will come out in summer 2008.
IMHO
1. if want to get the VF-1S 25th anniversary, better get also YF-19 anniversary valkyrie..both looks better with companion of both
2. would be really hard to get hands on the 1/60 super valk..be prepared to pay 70-100USD for it..and it's not perfect transformation
3. for this one(1/60 PT) need to wait for summer 08, and 1/48 focker now is already RI valkyrie ( i don't know how many edition now to date)

suggestion
why not go for the YF-19 or the YF-21 (Mac +)?

and if funds is not an issue, just get em all....Gotta catch em all

1/48 yamato macross
- perfect transformation (meaning no need to pull/take off any parts to transform the toy)..retail around 14,000JPY
http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/1...mple_48vf1s.htm

1/60 yamato macross (older version)

1/60 yamato macross (perfect transformation version)

from wat i've seen......its 1/60 VF-1S from Macross Zero is da best, right? but from my point of view......the GHOST boosters is not that attractive......hehhehehe compared to the vintage one....

but would it (boosters) be together in the package if i intend to get the VF-1S ?

VF-0S that is..VF-1S don't have ghost..

*
bro freefall,
there's no VF-1S in mac zero..only VF-0A and VF-0S...and for all macross zero macross toys, all is in 1/60 scale...

f not mistaken, all 1/60 mac zero/mac plus and 1/48 DYRL toys have articulated fingers...

cheers smile.gif

- w/out ghost 400 -500
- w ghost 550 - 650

well actually..
mospeada is not related to macross..same goes with southern cross...

all three are independent series in Japan..and when Harmony Gold want to air Macross in the US, the series must be more than 50 episode more or something like that...so they buy southern cross & mospeada..crop them all up, change the storyline & dialogs and TADAAAA....a pot of gold for Harmony Gold in a name of Robotech...

in Robotech, Macross storyline isn't too different from their japanese counterpart..but the other two got so many changes to fit in the robotech saga...

so in my opinion all three series are not related in the 1st place...

QUOTE("Wiki")
Robotech was one of the first series released in the United States which attempted to include most of the complexity and drama of its original Japanese source material. Produced by Harmony Gold USA, Inc. in association with Tatsunoko Prod. Co., Ltd., Robotech is a story adapted with edited content and revised dialogue from the animation of three different mecha anime series: The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada. Harmony Gold's cited reasoning for combining these unrelated series was its decision to market Macross for American weekday syndication television, which required a minimum of 65 episodes at the time (thirteen weeks at five episodes per week). Macross and the two other series each had fewer episodes than required, since they originally aired in Japan as weekly series.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robotech

and BTW this is a macross thread...not robotech thread
just my 2cents smile.gif
